Name: Smallnose
Age: 48 moons
Gender: She-cat
Clan: WindClan
Apprentice: Mousepaw
Rank: Warrior
Mate/Crush: Definitely open.
Kin: Her mother, Pebblefoot, and brother, Firepaw, are in StarClan and she never knew who her father was.
Description: Smallnose is, as her name implies, small. She is what you might call the "runt" of her mother's litter of two. Smallnose is a small, light gray she-cat with dainty little white paws. She might even be described as "pretty", but she thinks she looks perfectly average. She has medium-length fur. She has big green eyes that always give away what she's feeling and thinking. Her tail has darker stripes on it, but the rest of her stripes are barely noticeable. She is slender and has a long tail. Her nose is a gray color. She's graceful and keeps her pelt well-groomed.
Personality: One of the first things you'll notice about Smallnose is that she seems to be in a perpetually good mood. Just about every time you stumble across her, whether it be in camp, in the warriors den, or out on the moors, she can be seen smiling and laughing and talking to others. She seems to radiate friendliness, seeming to never have a bad word to say about anyone else. Some cats seem drawn to this cheerfulness, but others find it a bit annoying. She's not an idiot, though -- she can tell when she's bothering someone and will back off. That being said, she's also very patient with other cats, especially younger ones, which makes her a good mentor.
One may not expect it from her cheerful demeanor or her small size, but Smallnose is actually a very good fighter. In battle she uses her speed and size to her advantage. This is one of the few times that you'll see her happy attitude is left behind, and the full force of all the other feelings she hides behind her cheeriness will unleash themselves in a ball of raging silver fur. Really, she covers a lot of her other emotions with her maddening happiness, and in the end they all just reveal themselves at the same time. It's probably not particularly healthy for her, but she just can't stand the idea of other cats knowing when she's been hurt or offended. It's an insecurity of hers, really.
While her attitude may get annoying, at the end of the day, Smallnose is really a nice cat. Incredibly protective and loyal, you're sure to have a good friend in her. She has a special adoration for kits and likes to play with them in her spare time, as well as gossiping and chatting with the warriors and elders and toms. (Actually, she's secretly trying to find a mate at the moment. Maybe some day she'll have little kits of her own running around. Hopefully soon, before it's too late.) Smallnose is a cat that many cats find easy to like.
History: Smallnose has had a fairly uneventful life. When she was known as Smallkit (when she was a kit, obviously!) and was born alongside a blind brother, Firekit. she liked play-fighting and listening to the elder's stories. She could sit in the elders den for hours just listening to them tell stories. Then her mother would call her back into the nursery and she leave, with a quick "Be back tomorrow!" tossed over her little shoulder. As she grew into an older kit, she started to enjoy helping out with the younger ones and spent a little less time in the elders den, but still visited them often, and a bond formed between the cats.
Smallkit was very excited when she first became an apprentice and got her apprentice name of Smallpaw. Firekit couldn't become an apprentice with her, thoguh, due to his blindness, and he spent a little time with the medicine cat, learnign some of the herbs. She practically dragged her mentor out of the camp every morning for about the first moon. She actually enjoyed cleaning out the elders den, which was strange, and loved spending time with her literally old friends. She helped out around the nursery, too, watching the kits when the queens napped and playing with them. She found she had a passion for fighting, something that's not immediately obvious for your first meeting, and learned quickly. She didn't mind hunting much.
One day, Firepaw (even though he wasn't technically an apprentice) was out helping look for herbs. They didn't worry about him too much anymore. After all, despite being blind, his ears and sense of smell were better than average. But what he didn't know was that there were a few poisonous herbs. He ate some deathberries, and by the time the Clan found him, it was too late. He'd already joined StarClan. Despite being sad, Smallpaw recovered quickly.
On the day Smallpaw recieved her warrior name of Smallnose, she felt excited, but not as excited as a normal warrior would be. She regretted leaving her apprentice days behind. She wouldn't get to spend as much time with the elders.... She couldn't wait to get her own apprentice, though. She wanted to start training one right away. She began improving her fighting skills more, working out new moves and such. In her whole life, she's been in exactly three border fights. She wasn't injured too badly in any of them, either. Her mother caught greencough and passed on to StarClan. She still visits the elder often, even though there isn't any left in there from her kithood. She still watches the kits, too.
