Medicine den- Earthfoot and Sagepaw

Earthfoot looked around his den- the fern tunnel the medicine cat den was located in had been familiar to him since his kithood. He had trained here with his mentor when he was an apprentice, and continued living here once he became ThunderClan's medicine cat. He was young and had been a full medicine cat for a few seasons, but already found a cat that would succeed him and be just as good a medicine cat as he.

Sagepaw was still in the back of the den, probably sorting out his nest. The two had just gotten back from collecting moss for the younger cat's nest. Earthfoot promised he would take Sagepaw on a tour of the territory once they were done.

"Are you ready to go yet, Sagepaw?" He called deeper into the den. They should be able to leave soon and get back before sundown. Then they could relax and the training would start the next day.

Picking the last of the pieces of debris out of his nest, Sagepaw spread the moss around so it was more even and looked at his creation with satisfaction. It had been a quick, simple thing to make the nest, and now that it was done it looked wonderfully soft and inviting. But the small grey apprentice wasn't even remotely tired, it not even being sunhigh yet. And besides, Earthfoot had promised to take him on a tour of the territory. That would be much better than napping in his newly-made nest.

"I'm ready, Earthfoot!" he called eagerly, emerging into the dappled light of the fern tunnel. He stood as straight as he could in front of his mentor, trying to look responsible and ready for a challenge, though his paws itched to bounce with excitement. He had barely been outside of camp before, and now he was going to get to explore the whole territory! Sagepaw wondered what new things he would learn today, whether he would see any herbs or learn what the other Clans smelled like. From what he heard, the stench at the Thunderpath was quite overpowering,what with the Twoleg monsters and the stinky ShadowClan cats, but he couldn't imagine what it might be like to actually smell it. He supposed he would just have to wait until he got there to find out.
