Description: Longflower is a slender, flexible, she-cat. She is long limbed, and rather tall, though she used to dislike her lanky form she has grown into it and is adapted to moving lightly. She has strong muscles accustomed to running across the moor. Her stride is large and she is able to cover long distances quickly because of her long limbs. Her legs are thin and her paws are small yet tough. She is able to run very fast, but heavy winds tend to slow her. Her fur is short and rough as if toughened by the constant breeze. It's a light brown color, simple but pretty, lined with tabby stripes. Her head is angled, the top of it is near flat. Her ears are pointed. She has gorgeous cyan eyes inherited from her mother.
Personality: Longflower is true to her name, caring and thoughtful. She's a practical listener, always trying to see both sides of an argument. Though her loyalty can be considered wavering because of this, she's one to satisfy both sides instead of one simple, forced resolution. Preferring to be a thinker than take action, she'll stand my her decisions but won't fight unless she has to.
She has become very concerned for Rivermist, for now that the kits are older they are always getting into trouble, and even with other queens to help look out for the kits, there is still the possibility that with so many of them they could get into some dangerous situation. She is willing to consider different options, but thinks that since the kits were born in WindClan, that is where their hearts will lay. Because even though she took a mate from RiverClan, Longflower's heart has always been in WindClan.
History: Longflower was born one peaceful day in late leafbare. She was of pure WindClan blood, and her parents were immensely proud of their beautiful litter of three. For her long limbs and lengthy body, the eldest she-cat was named Longkit. The kits were brought up by both parents, taught to be loyal to WindClan and grow into respectable warriors. The warrior code wasn't taught as strictly; Longkit was instead told to trust her heart and do what she knew to be best. "Don't let your emotions rule all of your decisions," They would say, "Remember where you belong and where your loyalty lays."
Most of her kithood went by uneventfully. When she became an apprentice, Longpaw's mentor was a friendly she-cat, more than willing to take the young apprentice under her wing and show her how to be the warrior Longpaw dreamed of being. Longpaw tried to focus on her training, but much of the time she was distracted, still playing kit games with her siblings and her other den mates.
Her first Gathering was one she'll never forget. When she arrived in the huge hollow at Fourtrees and was surrounded by strange cats with different scents, it was easy to become intimidated. She stayed close to her brother and sister and timidly introduced herself to some of the other apprentices. It was then when she first saw him, another young apprentice by the name of Stonepaw. It was his first Gathering, too, so they had to be feeling the same thing.
As the moons went by and she grew more comfortable around the cats of other Clans, she grew closer to Stonepaw. She even went as far as to admit she had a crush on him, but wouldn't go any further than that. Admitting to herself that she liked a cat from another Clan was something she couldn't do. In time, however, she knew it wasn't just a simple crush. She thought of him occasionally, and would always think she was over him, then as soon as she saw him again at the next Gathering, she would realize she wasn't.
Fernpaw's death took everyone by surprise. It was late greenleaf, the prey was still running, everything seemed fine. Her sister suddenly came down with a terrible fever and grew increasingly ill until she had to move to the medicine cat's den. She struggled to hold on to life but eventually had to give up. Longpaw took it hard, and during her grieving she grew further apart from her brother, Russetpaw.
Within a few moons, she started to return to her old self. She wouldn't admit it to anyone else, but it was partially because of Stonepaw. Though they were no more than friends, she was comforted by his presence at Gatherings, and being near him when they sat by each other. By now she realized her feelings for him were probably not going away.
Some time after she received her warrior name, Longflower, and he became Stonepool, she worked up the courage to confess her feelings to him. She didn't expect him to return her feelings, so when she found out he felt the same way, she couldn't believe it. She was immensely happy, but at the same time, she knew she had just made her situation a million times worse. The two started meeting at the border, in between patrols so they wouldn't be caught. For a while, she was able to relax and not worry about her guilt.
It was when she found out she was having kits that all her conscious came rushing back. She couldn't see Stonepool anymore, not with kits coming quickly. She told him about the kits, and then told him she was going to raise them in WindClan. There was no way Stonepool would be able to care for newborn kits when they needed their mother most. She knew he would have wanted to be by the kits, but she couldn't leave WindClan and he couldn't come there, so she said goodbye to him.
A moon or so later, she gave birth to two kits. She had already been saddened by not being able to see Stonepool during the time she'd been in the nursery, but it seemed StarClan still wasn't finished with making her suffer. Only a few days after being born, while she was still trying to decide on names for them, one of the kits caught greencough and died. Dealing with the grief was hard, and more so when the Clan found out that her kits were Half-Clan. She didn't know if someone had guessed, or if one of her close friends gave away the secret, but they knew. Longflower named her surviving daughter Riverkit, hoping that she would grow up to recognize and be proud of her father's Clan.
Life went on rather uneventfully for a while after that. Longflower's brother, Russetpelt, passed away a few moons after Riverkit was born. By this time, she was used to grieving for lost family, so carried on bravely in the face of her daughter. The two siblings hadn't been all that close for a while, so it hadn't hit her as hard.
Going to her first Gathering in so long, she was anxious to see Stonepool again and wondered if he should be excited to see his daughter, Riverpaw. But, when they saw him, he acted as if he was avoiding them. Not making any effort to speak with them or even acknowledge them. Longflower was hurt, but in time took this as a sign that they couldn't be together any longer. It took a while for her heart to realize this, but as they ignored each other, it got easier.
She had never expected her daughter to make the same mistake she had. Longflower was proud and glad when Rivermist was expecting kits, but soon it got out that the kits had a ShadowClan father, everyone was shocked. History was repeating itself. Longflower was frustrated and angry at first, for it seemed that Rivermist hadn't learned from her mistakes and was making more trouble for herself and the Clan. Not only that, but it was against the warrior code, and against loyalty to WindClan.
After the kits were born, though, she realized that the anger was pointless. Rivermist needed help, and Longflower was there. For the first moon or so of the kits' life, she helped out as much as she could, even shirking on her warrior duties to do so. As soon as the many kits were old enough for Rivermist to look after them, Longflower went back to her full-time warrior status, occasionally visiting the kits but for the most part letting their mother take care of them.

When disaster it strikes on a daily basis
I'm looking for wisdom in all the wrong places
But still wanna laugh in disappointed faces
You can't help me
I'm blinded by these
Heroes and Thieves at my door
I can't seem to tell them apart anymore
Just when I've figured it out
Darling, it's you I'm without.
Well, I'm stubborn and wrong but at least I know it
Keep moving along and hope I can get through this
But maybe this song is the best, I can do it
So I'm patiently waiting on these
Heroes and Thieves at my door
I can't seem to tell them apart anymore
Just when I've figured it out
Darling, it's you, darling, it's you, oh darling, it's you
I'm without your comforting logic
Like these days are the ones I'll miss
And I see a solitude that I can't find without you.
It seems like I'm getting closer somehow
A flicker of peace that I've finally found
Thank you for believing in me now
'Cause I do need it
Give me a year or two
I'll mend my ways and see these mistakes and
When I see the truth, darling, trust me
When I can't see I'll be coming back, I'll be coming back
'Cause there are heroes and thieves at my door
I can't seem to tell them apart anymore
Just when I've figured it out
Well, darling, it's you, my darling, it's you, oh darling, it's you
I'm without.
