Description:
Wynter takes after her mother and grandmother. Her fur is white like snow. As her mother was named Snowy, she took the name Wynter. Well, it wasn't on choice. Anyways, her fur was sleek and pure to the very hair. After running away, she is slowly losing the sheen to it. Her paws are tainted a dusty color after the moons she's been walking. The coat is slightly thicker since her grandmother was a long-haired cat. She heard rumors of her unknown father. His fur was thin which led to her own fur being shorter than others of her family. Being raised as a kittypet for half her life, the elements have taken their toll by turning her fur rough and unkempt.
Wynter's ears are pointed but their larger size looks awkward upon her head. The fur is only longer within her ears. Her tail is plump and short, not uncommon among generations of kittypets. Her nose is a healthy pink though the white fur hides it. The only thing that stands out are her eyes. The gray color seems to be mixed with green like ash colored moss.
Her muzzle is short but narrow towards the jaw. She's not a small cat and takes good care to show that. Her determination is not about to let her fall easily. Though her body may take on the kittypet appearance, her personality is not so.
Personality:
Wynter does everything to be her mother. She's not afraid of anything it seems, even in a world where she's not meant to be.
To begin with, she's demanding. Wynter wants the best treatment she can get. That's the kittypet blood in her. She's used to being highly pampered but wants that to continue in the wild. At the same time, she's forced herself to learn the ways of hunting and hiding. She can take care of herself, even if she doesn't like to do that so much.
Secondly, she's manipulating. If you are of any use to Wynter, she'll find some way to make you work. Flirting, fighting, begging, faking. She's done it all in some point of her life. She'll do anything for what she wants. Once that's done though, she'll leave you behind as the trash you are in her mind.
Finally, she has a secret or two. She is lonely and would like a companion but her pride prevents it. On the outside she is strong but within she is beginning to feel the need for her kittypet friends. The long, winding fence that she'd travel every day is gone. The cats there to greet her in the morning are gone. All of it was once her life. She yearns to have some familiarity in her life again but won't dare to admit it.
History:
Like most kittypet births, Wynter was practically raised in a box. Her mother, Snowy, was an excellent caretaker thankfully. Her two siblings, Roger and Skunk, were always fighting together. They claimed that she-cats couldn't play with toms. It was against some law. So Wynter took to Snowy's company. Roger and Skunk were adopted but the twolegs seemed to insist on keeping the identical Wynter around.
"Mother," the youngster asked daily. "What is over the fence? You go up every day on that fence but never cross."
With distaste hanging in her words, Snowy would review the story of Nevermore and the taken kit, Spot. Snowy said she crossed the fence once. It was only with Wynter's father, Buddy, at her side though. They traveled through the trees of one Clan, the swamps of another, all the way to a river. There stood a cat with a look of determination on his face. He was sure to chase them out. But his mind had taken a moment to pause in thought.
"Spot?" Snowy mewed. That was enough to send the tom into a whirlwind of hissing. Though the kittypets were chased back to their nests, they knew immediately the truth of the clans. Snowy remembered how her mother explained what had happened when she dared to return due to old age. Broken and worn, Sweety explained that Spot was now Badgerclaw after being taken away by Nevermore. But that was all she was able to say before the last breath was drawn.
So the mystery continued for Wynter. The spring air was coming along again on one day. The end of the colder days was here which perked up all the cats on the block. But Snowy wasn't so much. Buddy, so the rumors said, had fallen ill. He lived across the Monster's Path which was a dangerous cross. But Snowy was desperate to see Buddy again. She left Wynter in the yard but the curious youngster followed.
It was the worst mistake of her life. She witnessed the horrifying events. Her mother dashed across the road only for a monster to come hurtling at her at the same time. It was easy to tell who'd win. Struck with shock, Wynter knew that her mother had only one thing to say in the end. The same thing she had always said. "I regret not bringing Spot back," she had said all the time. "And if I couldn't do that, then taking down those clans that made him who he is."
So Wynter set out on her own adventure. The pink collar around her neck, a broken bell settling near her jaw, is the only sign of her kittypet life that is that visible. She isn't afraid as she used to be. She wants to fulfill her mother's words before she would be fine with settling back to some twolegs. Until Spot is back or the clans are taken down though, she will continue the winding road of life.
