Name: Hazelpaw
Age: 9 Moons
Gender:She-cat
Clan: Skylan
Mentor:
Rank: Apprentice
Mate/Crush: Open
Kin: Wrenpaw (Sister, Yellow)
Lilypaw (Sister, Cai)
Patchfeather (Mother, NPH)
Blacktail (Father, NPH)
Description: Hazelpaw is a small, but wiry cat. Her body is long and thin, and she slips through Skyclan territory like a snake sometimes. Her coat is even kind of wiry in texture, but feels smooth and soft for the most part. Her face is round, with average sized ears placed atop it. Her tail is sort of short and is held just below her spine and not upright like other cats hold theirs. Her paws are not small and dainty, but are kind of large. They appear normal. It’s just they’re a bit larger than some she-cat’s paws. Her eyes are wide in shape and are the perfect distance apart. She has a very interesting gait. It’s quick and rushed, but still seems smooth.
Her pelt is mostly a mixture of brown tabby with a few bits of blazing ginger tabby thrown in for color. Most of her face is snowy white, with the tabby color taking over half of it and covering her other eye in color. The stripes on her body grow thicker as they near her tail and form thick bands along her tail. Her paws are also white, and her chest is too. The rest of her body is covered in that same tabby pattern described above. Her eyes are green around the slit pupils, but are a pale brown around the outside of the eyes. These colors fade together so well, it’s barely noticeable that her eyes aren’t all one shade.
Personality: Hazelpaw is her own cat, no doubt about it. She’s pretty energetic, as most young cats are, but she doesn’t know where to focus it. So, she kinda has this little problem with paying attention most of the time.
Anyway…it seems to be a bit of a problem and might delay her progress later on if her mentor doesn’t figure out how to train her. These first two moons as an apprentice have been truly difficulty, and Hazelpaw is often quite frustrated with herself. Only her sisters really know how to deal with her, and seeing as they can’t train her…Hazelpaw’s really in one deep hole.
Sometime’s Hazelpaw has moments were seems almost completely normal. Now, nobody’s saying she’s not normal, but she is a bit off the wall. Just a teeny bit. During these moments, it’s like her mind is clear and not thrown of track by things. Most of these moments are when she’s unhappy with herself for being a self-proclaimed “Screw-Up”. So it isn't always a positive thing...Well, beating yourself up is never positive, so clarity may just be a bad thing unless she figures out that her faults aren't faults...they just make her different.
And that isn't always a bad thing.
History: There really wasn't anything eventful about the birth of three little she-cats. Yes, they were a new addition to the Clan and were adored by mostly everyone, but it wasn't like their life held many problems. They were named Lilykit, Hazelkit and Wrenkit. Everything seemed normal as they were growing up, but there seemed to be something different about Hazelkit. She'd be playing Mossball with her sisters, and then she'd glance away with this distant look in her eyes and get hit by the mossball.
No one seemed to think anything of it for the rest of her kit-hood, thinking it was something little Hazelkit would grow out of. Despite a few bouts of sibling rivalry, everything went okay for the three sisters. Then they were made apprentices and while her two sisters seemed to excel at their tasks, Hazelpaw still seemed out there.
These past few moons as an apprentice have been filled with fights between her and her mentor, and between her and herself because she feels she can't do anything right. Her mentor keeps on trying to work with her, but unless they can figure out a fool-proof way to train her, Hazelpaw's time as an apprentice isn't going to go smoothly. It still isn't even as time goes on. She's learned enough to get by, and all she wants is to be a warrior. It may take her a bit more time than other cats her age, and she's going to need additional help, but she's willing to try.
