Name: Tigerstripe
Age: 15 moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: WindClan
Rank: Warrior
Apprentice: Would you trust him with one?
Love Interest: Stammerstammerstammer. Uhm. Uh. What? What?! Go 'way! ...Shoot.
Kin:
Bramblethorn (Brother, SC. Estranged.)
Heathfur (Father, WC)
Nightfeather (Mother, SC)
Description: Tigerstripe is a medium-weight cat, with a coat of medium brown tabby fur, striped black- as the name would imply. He has a set of flashing yellow eyes, an uneven set of whiskers, and a pair of ears that spend most of their time sitting flat against the back of his head. His body is wiry but solid, like a loop of iron cord, from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail. There are a surprising number of scars on his body for one so young, but a penchant for charging headlong into things will do that for you. His paws are rather big, and while somewhat clumsy at handling small things, Tigerstripe uses them deftly for running, hunting, and fighting purposes.
Personality: To say that Tigerstripe is temperamental would be as obvious as saying that water is wet. The fuse on this one is shorter than a manx's tail. The list of things that set him off is as long as an oak is tall, and would take too long to go in to here. But there's one particular trigger to be wary of: make a half-Clan crack around this cat, and he will try and rip your mouth off.
This behavior may be the result of some deeply rooted insecurity, but few have bothered and none have succeeded in getting past the bristly barrier that is Tigerstripe's attitude.
Tigerstripe takes training very seriously- it is in the familiar steps and strikes of combat that this cat feels in his element, exhilarated and comforted at the same time. If he had to die, he'd die fighting. On the other hand, his discipline in regards to his other warrior duties is unfortunately lax.
For all his temper, this cat does have a moral code. He does his best not to snap at kits, elders, and kittypets. He also holds respect for any tom or she-cat that can best him in a fight. He is bold, and relatively fearless, which is a recipe for a very special kind of stupid.
As a last note, Tigerstripe's social clumsiness is never more apparent than when he comes across a she-cat that he likes. He'll barely be able to spit out two words before tying his tongue in knots, embarrassing himself, and stalking off in a huff.
History: Tigerkit and his brother Bramblekit began life in a ShadowClan nursery. They were half-Clan cats- their father, Heathfur, was from WindClan, while their mother, Nightfeather came from ShadowClan. Of course, the two kits had no knowledge of this, secure in the innocence of newborns. Well, until their second moon, when their mother took them out for a "secret" adventure in the woods. That adventure turned out to be a rendezvous with their father. Having never seen the strange cat before, the two kits were understandably concerned- doubly so when a contingent of WindClan warriors sprang up to join the lone cat.
The next few moments were chaos- amidst the whirling bodies, Tigerkit felt himself being picked up by his scruff and hauled away by the strange cat- his father. Heathfur had never expected to be followed- it seemed that his secret was out. He cursed himself for stupidly dragging one of his son's into this mess as well. He was prepared to accept whatever punishment awaited him for breaking the warrior code, provided his kit was given a safe place in WindClan. Heathfur was spared punishment, provided that the kit was raised as a WindClan cat. But he hadn't told Ravenstar about Tigerkit's brother!
For the safety of his kit, and the peace of their family, Heathfur urged Tigerkit to forget that he ever had a brother. And so Tigerkit had to adjust to a brand new place, stranger and lonelier than any other.
But youth is nothing but resilient- in time, the traumatizing experience was pushed to the back of his memory. By the time he was ready to be apprenticed, he was proud to be a WindClanner- and excited to become a warrior. However, growing up did present certain... issues. Due to the nature of his arrival, most cats were aware of his half-Clan status, and a lot of them gave him grief for it. The frustration and the unfairness of this treatment was a certain cause for his aggression.
Heathfur tried to be of help, but Tigerpaw was in that particular teenage stage of parental blaming, and wanted no part of the cat that was responsible for the whole situation. His relationship with his mentor was slightly better, which doesn't say much. Tigerpaw was superbly motivated by combat training, but his stubbornness and impulse control issues led to his warrior ceremony being delayed by two moons, until he was deemed responsible enough to be a warrior, albeit tenuously.
