SITE HAPPENINGS
Turning leaves. That's right — after nearly two years of waiting, leaf-fall has finally come to the forest! The weather is still quite warm, however, and there is no sign of rain at all. Although there are still plenty of plants, and nuts and berries have started to appear in greater numbers, the scarcity of water makes prey harder to find than in the earlier moons. It looks like, despite the lateness of the year, greenleaf's warm weather will be sticking around a bit longer.
Chat-box crackdown. There is a new policy to be implemented, my dears. A large portion of our site population belong to other sites together, and like talking about their hobbies and interests although not everyone present may share them or appreciate the conversation going on. So, from now on we ask that members refrain from holding conversations about things that are unrelated to this site. A quick question or request is understandable, but don't fill up the box with long conversations. Unfortunately excessive off-topic ramblings will now be considered spam, and treated as such.
Open threads. Some people on the site are looking for partners to RP with, so if you have a few spare moments, take one of them to check out Living On The Edge in WindClan and Night Hunting in ShadowClan.
Wanted faces. There's room in all Clans for more cats, especially if you know where to look. ThunderClan is seeking elders and senior warriors, ShadowClan is in need of elders, senior warriors, especially toms, are currently being welcomed into WindClan, RiverClan is seeking elders and other tom cats, and SkyClan is accepting elders as well. See the Clan allegiances for more information.
And so time passes. It is indeed that time again! Now that leaf-fall has arrived, cats of all Clans, and those of none, are now one moon older. Please age all of your characters accordingly and post in this thread to say that you have done so.
Clan NEWS
Meeting at the Moonstone. During the last half-moon of greenleaf, medicine cats of all Clans gather at Mothermouth to receive an ominous warning from StarClan; that Clan cats have been drifting away from their starry ancestors, and ill things are sure to follow should the Clans' loyalty and faith not be restored. But is the seed of rebellion buried too deep?
Secret lovers. For moons they courted, and met in secret, going against the will of StarClan and behind their own Clanmates' backs. The five childhood friends of RiverClan and WindClan have all found mates of their own, but their newfound bliss may be tempered with worry for the troubles that could beleaguer them in the future. What will the following moons hold for these five she-cats and their mates?
Expectant mothers. With leaf-fall closing in, and the breeding season coming to a close, she-cats of all Clans and loyalties have made one last go at having kits before it is too cold to birth young safely. Fireshadow and Smokeheart of ShadowClan, RiverClan's Cindertail, loners Wynter and Far, and even WindClan apprentice Mousepaw and leader of ThunderClan Ashstar are showing obvious signs of pregnancy. While most have moved into a nursery, all are expected to birth their kittens towards the middle or end of this moon.
The missing elder. Of all four Clans, WindClan has always been the one with an abundance of elders, counting nearly half a dozen as of this moon. But the Clan's youngest elder, blind Morningfrost, has suddenly vanished, and what's more, a small, unidentifiable body has been located near the WindClan border. Is Morningfrost truly gone for good, and what will her sister do in her absence?
Up-and-comings. Kits Ravenkit, Dusk-kit, Tawnykit, Creamkit and Violetkit should be earning their apprentice names this moon, while the eight plot kits are only weeks behind them, and quickly approaching apprenticeship as well. Meanwhile, several apprentices of all Clans should be ready for their warrior assessments in the near future, including Breezepaw, Halfpaw, Icepaw, Sleetpaw, and hopefully Mudpaw, who is long overdue.
Imminent full moon. With the turning of greenleaf into leaf-fall comes a new moon and a new Gathering... or does it? This moon, thick, ill-looking clouds swathe the sky, choking the moon and hiding the stars from view. Although the air is heavy and oppressive, and flickers of green-hued lightning can be seen almost constantly, there is neither thunder nor rain to break the uncanny howl of the wind. Is this just happenstance, or is StarClan angry with the Clans?
