Rowanclaw is well built cat, with strong legs and a long tail. His head is well-shaped and his paws are large and capable. With his powerful shoulders and deep chest, he has the kind of build that you would expect to see on a much larger cat. But actually, Rowanclaw is large only in comparison to his tiny sister, Finchstep. Slightly smaller than most toms, Rowanclaw is dwarfed by his lanky older brother, Firepool. Despite this, he is decidedly more powerful than either of his siblings, with steely muscles made hard by hours of work and training. Rowanclaw's short fur is a monotonous brown, broken with dark lines. His paws, mouth, and chest are white, and his claws are thorn-sharp. Rowanclaw's pads are roughened and grey from moons spent working and fighting with them, and his face is serious and grave. His eyes are amber, level and steady and rimmed with a dark line that only enhances his steely gaze.p e r s o n a l i t y .
Despite being the middleborn, and being considerably smaller than his brother, Rowanclaw takes on the protective older brother role with his two siblings. He is responsible, determined, and almost always completely calm, though even his almost infinite patience can be tested when he deals with his slacking brother. Rowanclaw takes it upon himself to try and manage his two wayward siblings, soothing his restless sister and giving Firepool a good, hard kick whenever necessary... which is most of the time. Loyal and completely dedicated to the Clan, Rowanclaw does whatever he can to help his Clanmates. He has honed his fighting skills past excellence, and is the lethal power in the litter, as well as the stability and wisdom. Rowanclaw is a fair and reasonable cat who treats his friends well and jokes with his siblings. He'll be your best friend if you earn his trust, and your surest enemy if you betray him.h i s t o r y .
Firepool's, Rowanclaw's, and Finchstep's histories will all be the same, with an added part at the end if there's anything else about them that happened.m o t h e r : Berryfur
Firepool, Rowanclaw, and Finchstep were born in early newleaf, a pleasant time to come into the world. From the time that they were born they were inseparable, playing together, eating together, and getting into fights together. As the moons progressed they remained close, but distinct roles emerged among them. Firepool, the oldest, was the most playful, the one who could charm his way out of a fight if he wanted to, but engaged in combat just as often as not. He was also the smartest, and the sneakiest, and most definitely the most relaxed. Rowanclaw was the level-headed one, the dutiful one, and the fighter. Though he was smaller than his brother, Rowanclaw would always win in a fight between them, for he was a natural born warrior. Finchstep, the youngest and the smallest, was quieter than her siblings, but not because she had nothing to say. She was ever watchful, and always had insights into any problems the three might have.
The day the three became apprentices was a day that none of them would ever forget. After the apprentices were assigned their mentors, the newly-named Firepaw heard an older apprentice make a comment about Finchpaw's fitness to train as a warrior. By this time it was well-known in the Clan that Finchstep wasn't completely right in the head, and some cats wondered if it would be wise to let her become a warrior. Firepaw immediately tackled the offending apprentice, and when Rowanpaw and another apprentice joined in the fight, all hell broke loose. Firepaw escaped with a cut over his eye and Rowanpaw had a severe bite on his tail, but the other two apprentices got much worse. Though no cat suffered any lasting injuries, all four of them were confined in camp and sentenced to caring for the elders for the next moon.
After that first fight, the three apprentices progressed normally. The older apprentices made sure not to insult Finchpaw in her brothers' hearing again, and the three of them concentrated on their training as well as they each could. For Firepaw this meant getting yelled at by his mentor six times a day, and Finchpaw was often misunderstood, training away from her brothers. But eventually they all became warriors, and were reunited as the three close-knit cats that they had been throughout their kithood. Once they were warriors, the mutters about Finchstep didn't stop, or even decrease. But with the three of them together, the siblings overcame the challenges that came their way to be loyal warriors of WindClan.
Only three moons after he was given his warrior name, it was decided that Rowanclaw was ready for his first apprentice. The young cat's name was Seedpaw, and she was an energetic, exitable young cat. Of course after living with Firepool for seventeen moons, Rowanclaw was more than ready to deal with that, and Seedpaw's training started off well right away. After only a short time he and his apprenticed had bonded, in fact more closely than some cats realized. Rowanclaw continued the rest of Seedpaw's training constantly feeling a mixture of love, worry that it wouldn't be returned, and guilt that he shouldn't be feeling that way about his own apprentice. "Wait until she's comfortable with herself before you tell her," Finchstep advised, but it was hard. Every day Rowanclaw wondered if Seedpaw felt anything for the other apprentices in her den, especially her best friend Downypaw.
Eventually, after seven moons, Seedpaw was given the warrior name of Seedthorn, and though Rowanclaw didn't know if either of them were ready, he couldn't wait any longer. One evening he followed her when she left camp, determined to tell her how he felt. But when he caught up to her, she was talking with a strange cat at the edge of WindClan territory. It was a loner, and when Rowanclaw confronted her about it she said that she had been seeing him secretly for almost a moon. Still not knowing how her old mentor felt, Seedpelt told Rowanclaw that she was leaving to live with her lover, and hadn't told anyone because she didn't want them to remember her as disloyal. Unable to tell her the truth in the face of such a shocking revelation, Rowanclaw let her go without protest. He has always wondered if things would be different if he had spoken sooner.

She reads a book from across the street
Waiting for someone that she'll never meet
Talk over coffee for an hour or two
She wonders why I'm always in a good mood
Killing time before she struts her stuff
She needs support and I've become the crutch
She'll never know how much she means to me
I'd play the game but I'm the referee
