Check out the RP today!
Cai and I are making a roleplay on Dragon Cave's Forums and anyone is welcome to join it. :3 This board will be used for the planning and writing of the plot and things like that. Yaaay~
This is a literate Warriors RP. Meaning you must possess (and indeed use) a brain and have some knowledge of the Warriors series to participate.
Rules
I. No powerplaying. This means no forced hits, dodging every hit and landing every blow, knowing about things which you cannot possibly know (if Brownpelt is secretly trying to takeover the Clan, you don't say "Brownpelt's trying to takeover the Clan!". You let him try to takeover the Clan.)
II. No godmodding. You are not all-powerful, so you cannot take control of someone else's character. This means, even if Brownpelt has placed his fat self right in your way, you cannot move him yourself. That is up to Brownpelt's owner.
III. No (Anti) Kitty-Sues and Stus. You cannot have a perfect character. No matter how much you want your character to be beautiful, loved by all, brilliant at hunting, the best fighter in the Clan or a superstar at Mossball, your cat must have flaws. You also cannot have a poor, tragic sob story who has a terrible, broken past and cannot fit in or is hated by the Clan. You get the picture. It's a no.
IV. No being a plot-killer. This means you mustn't solve everything in the space of two lines. For example, if ForestClan is under attack from rabid foxes, you cannot say "Brownpelt dispatched seventeen foxes with his uber-ninja-fighting."
V. You must be active. We reserve the right to remove your characters if you become inactive for prolonged periods of time without notice.
VI. You must only post PG-13 content.
VII. No spamming with irrelevant, unnecessary OOC posts.
VIII. If you are insufficiently literate, you will not be allowed to continue roleplaying here. The same goes for failure to follow rules or instructions.
Plot
"The valley is divided now, but it was not always so..."
Legend has it that once upon a time, the valley was the home of just one Clan. In a tale passed down the generations, it is said that the original inhabitants were cats who came together from separate lands in search of a home with good hunting, shelter and most of all, peace. Though they came from different backgrounds, they bonded quickly, settling in their newfound home together. These cats became the founders of a closely-knit community and created traditions, rankings and rules of their own. They called themselves ValleyClan, after the land which had become their home and provided for them over the moons. For generations, ValleyClan lived happily as the sole group in the area, chasing away the occasional intruder who stumbled across their land. They lived in the beautiful valley as one, united Clan. It seemed that peace was everlasting in the harmony of their idyllic home, for nothing came to challenge ValleyClan's ownership of the whole valley for many, many moons.
"All things come to an end."
The calm of the valley was not to last forever. One day, when the cats of the valley were drowsy with the prey-richness of Greenleaf, the outsiders arrived. They were a group just as big, just as strong as ValleyClan. They had reached the valley by chance, but with same intentions as those who had come before them, seeking peace and prey. In the valley they found a perfect home: one that would meet all their needs and shelter their sizable group. But the situation was far from perfect. This territory was already claimed. When these new cats arrived, never had they intended to begin a legacy of strife and discord, but start it they did. The ValleyClan cats were enraged by this intrusion and refused to have any cat who was not of their own Clan living on their land. With the newcomers taking cautious steps into the valley, the stories claim that a legendary battle was fought soon after, and, after a clash of furious skirmishes, both sides were exhausted and had suffered terrible losses. The old legend says that the fighting was so bloody and terrible that the valley itself began to weep for the lost lives, and from its tears sprang the Great River, serving as an eternal reminder of the blood spilled for the sake of territory.
"And so, the valley became home for two."
For days and nights, the battle raged and the valley was fought over in the most terrible combat ever seen. Eventually, in a way which was eerily sudden and unexpected, the sounds of battle quieted as the Clans realised that neither side would be driven out. Instead of carrying on a fight which would have eventually destroyed all life and everything good in the valley, the land had to be shared. What happened next remains somewhat unclear amongst the present-day Clans, leaving room for stories to twist and the truth to become long forgotten. All that is known is that somehow, the newcomers claimed the prey-rich forest for their own and drove out any ValleyClan cat that came near. They made their new lives amongst the trees and held the territory from ValleyClan, who, unwilling and resentful, were forced to retreat to the bare hills and open land on the other side of the new-born river, banished from the most vital part of their own home.
"The river represents more than just a boundary now."
Generations have passed since the valley was split, and to this day ValleyClan has remained on the open moorland, exposed to great hardship. The newcomers, long-since named ForestClan for the ample forest which became theirs after the Battle of the Valley, continue to enjoy the abundance of prey and gentle environment of amongst the trees. ValleyClan have always been bitter and resentful towards ForestClan for taking their land and forcing them into the hostile plains. They claim that, as the original founders of Clan-life in the valley, they should reap the benefits of living in it. They want their old land back, and with their numbers starting to increase again in addition to Leafbare approaching fast and prey being as scarce as ever, the valley again holds its breath in preparation for the cries of battle to ring out again. Now, the river is no longer just a land-border. It is a symbol of the division which has had kits born in blood and battle and countless lives taken in the innumerabe disputes. The choppy waters are only a reflection of the restlessness of both Clans.
Across the river, ForestClan is comfortable in its home and have no intentions of letting go of any of their land. They claim that since so much time has passed since the forest became theirs, ValleyClan has no right to it. The two Clans are constantly at ends, conflicts sparking at border patrols and accusations of prey-stealing being thrown from both sides. With life in the valley as tense as it is, even a kit can see that things can not go on like this. Sooner or later, something will happen that will affect the future of the two Clans, but no cat knows what end result will be reached. Peace in the valley seems a far-off dream, unattainable and out of reach. Old resentment is boiling over and the long-suffering ValleyClan begins to raise its head in defiance, striding to lock horns with ForestClan once again. History seems set to repeat itself unless a miracle washes away the ancient dispute of the Clans.
About the Clans
ValleyClan and ForestClan live together in a deep valley surrounded by rocky, impenetrable mountains on all sides. Cutting it in two is the Great River: a fast-flowing and wide river across which are several crossing-points. On one side of the river is a forest teeming with life, whilst on the other there are wide, rolling hills which seem much less bountiful. As a whole, there is much diversity of life in the valley and time never stands still for the inhabitants. Things are always changing, and when they do, the Clans which have made their home in the heart of the valley must also change with them.
Contact between the Clans is limited. In fact, the only times they mix are virtually solely for battle, since there is no time for meeting between them. Border skirmishes are the most frequent occurrence for contact between ValleyClan and ForestClan, for the divide which runs between them is too stark to allow for friendly relations. The one thing they share is a common belief in StarClan, though they have a somewhat distorted view of them, each deciding that their warrior ancestors intended for their Clan to own the valley. There is no specified time for a medicine cat or leader to speak with StarClan, but the one, lone patch of undisputed neutral territory is a small cave on the edge of the valley. In this cave flows a small stream known to all cats as the Moonstream, whose waters may be drunk to speak with the ranks of StarClan.
ForestClan
On one side of the valley resides ForestClan. Easily assumed by their name, ForestClan live in a stretch of forestland which covers almost half of the huge valley. The cats who live here make use of their plentiful home and all of its natural resources. With the largest diversity and quantity of prey in the valley, in Greenleaf the food seemingly never runs out and the cats of ForestClan are able to enjoy long days amongst the gentle sounds of the forest. Although prey gets harder to come by in Leafbare, the Clan makes it through well enough. Most of ForestClan's diet consists of mice, squirrels and birds, but they are also known to eat fish from the large river and many streams that run through their territory. The cats of ForestClan are masters of hunting in the trees and do best when able to weave amongst the greenery.
The ForestClan camp is in the middle of the forest, formed by a dip in the ground with a sheer rock-face curving around it. It is surrounded by protective brambles, shrubs and thorns which create a natural shield, making the camp easy to defend and hard to attack. There is one main entrance which is carefully guarded and reinforced with thorn bushes. Long ago, the camp was actually a large pool, fed by an underground stream that sprang from the rocks. With the stream long-since dried, the hollow that it used to emerge from now serves as the medicine cat's den. In the center of camp grows a large oak tree, surrounded by a thick clump of ferns. A sheltered hollow under the roots serves as the leader's den; Clan meetings are called from a low-sitting branch. A bramble thicket growing close to the rock-face is where the nursing queens reside, and the Clan's elders dwell inside a large, hollowed stump surrounded by ferns. The apprentices and warriors make their nests under the shelter of two large, spreading evergreen bushes that protect them from the weather even in the depths of leaf-bare.
Cats in ForestClan tend to have earth-coloured pelts, though there is an array of different patterns and shades. They are strong and agile, able to navigate amongst the thick trees with ease. ForestClan cats have powerful limbs and are skilled jumpers and climbers. They specialize in hunting the creatures of the forest, though they are able to swim competently thanks to the water sources found in their lush territory. Some of them have even mastered the technique of fishing, though it takes a lot of patience to do so, and ForestClan cats are not best known for being patient. They are bold and courageous, though also aggressive and stubborn. They were not scared away by ValleyClan when they first arrived in the valley and will not be scared away now. They have been well-fed for moons, never wanting for anything. Whilst ValleyClan struggled, ForestClan was able to thrive, producing a generation of cats in peak condition who have never truly endured hardship.
ValleyClan
On the other side of the hollow, split from ForestClan by the large river at the edge of the woods, lies the territory of ValleyClan. The cats of this Clan are fast and hardy; their bodies constructed for life in the open air. They have keen senses and a stronger connection to the sky. Most of their territory is an expanse of rolling hills, long grass and scattered stretches of flat ground. There are some large rocks, trees and undergrowth peppered over the territory, providing some shelter and hiding spots from the predatory birds above. ValleyClan cats eat anything that comes across their prey-scarce path, including rabbits, mice, birds, and even snakes and lizards during the warmer moons. Needless to say, Leafbare is harsh and unforgiving for the Clan, allowing them no room for weakness. In ValleyClan, only the strongest survive, for even when Greenleaf warms the land, prey is far from abundant.
In the dip in the ground below a particularly large hill and several gentle slopes lies ValleyClan's camp. This indentation in the land provides some protection from the elements and the cats themselves have used what they can to create extra shields. Fitted in the space with the most small plants and ferns as shelter, it is a well-hidden camp that protects them from the elements. Instead of moss lining their nests, ValleyClan cats use wild, dry grass and ferns for their bedding. Since they have chosen a rocky section of the grassland for their camp, there is a large boulder in the center which is used by the leader to give announcements. Some way off is the fresh-kill pile, kept safe by long grass. The rest of the Clan sleep under the shelter of large clumps of gorse, with the exception of the medicine cat and the nursing queens. The medicine cat's den is nestled underneath a tumble of stones, and the queens are sheltered by a large, thorny bush.
The cats themselves are lean and lithe, able to run and run as if fleeing from the most dangerous foe. Their stamina is necessary, for if they did not have this perseverance, their unforgiving territory would claim them. Only the hardiest survive in ValleyClan, so they have developed an iron-will and determination which enables them to survive, even with the odds stacked against them. Many moons of hardship have left these cats tough and hardworking and with a passion burning inside which begs to be let loose. Through their shared struggle, the cats of ValleyClan have a closer bond than ever before, strengthened by the need to divide the toils of everyday life and fight for their honour. Resourceful and endlessly loyal, these proud, determined cats use all their cunning and skill to survive on the open moorland. ValleyClan grows increasingly restless with each passing day; they seek what was once taken from them and hunger to once again dominate the valley which is their namesake.

Biography Rules
This is a traditional roleplay. Meaning there are rules about warrior naming. You should be familiar with the Warriors series to participate in this roleplay.
- Kits are named for their appearance or size at birth. They are not named after abstract things, emotions, human terms and objects or precious gems. They are also not given disrespectful names that denote failure. A mother wouldn't name her kits these things. This means you may not have a Lostkit, Angelkit, Sapphirekit, Deathkit, etc.
- A warrior name is chosen upon the completion of the apprentice's training. The suffix given will complement the cat's appearance (fur, pelt), skills (claw, whisker) or personality (storm, flower). Only under rare circumstances will a name be given for another reason. No suffixes may be human terms or objects which are not found naturally. No 'song', 'strike', 'call', or anything of the sort. -Step is a suffix only usable with an animal prefix or an ajective that works with it. (Longstep, Shrewstep, Smallstep).
- Cats may not be named for things that have significance to the Clans, so in this case no 'Valley-', 'Forest-', or 'River-'. And 'Starkit' is banned for obvious reasons.
- The two Clans live in a valley bordered by mountains on all sides. Outsiders are rare and it is even more rare for them to be allowed into a Clan. Therefore, there will be no[/b] outside cats joining either of the Clans. All cats will be Clanborn.
- Cat history must be realistic. No "Brownkit was found outside the medicine cat's den, barely alive... He grew up and became the best warrior ever." Make it interesting, yet believable.
- There will be a restriction on violet and blue-eyed cats. These eye colors are rare in a feral cat as most have yellow/greenish eyes. There will be no purple-eyed cats and there can't be too many blue-eyed.
- These are wild cats, so you cannot explicitly state that Brownpelt is a Siamese, Bengal, Abyssinian, etc. because they are not purebred.
- Male tortoiseshell cats are impossible in the wild.
