Stormkit waited patiently, hiding amongst the moss. He was waiting for the others to arrive. He wondered if Violetkit would hate him too. Afterall, Sandkit was his sister. Though Stormkit felt the two were equally to blame, he felt guilty himself. That game had been his idea. And what a terrible one it was...
But Creamkit was his friend, and Violetkit was Creamkit's sister. The only way he could make her forgive him was to apologize to them both. His brothers and sisters would probably hate him if the knew. But what could he do? It was a no-win situation. And besides, they probably blamed him for Rivermist getting in trouble too...
Pawsteps...They must be here! Stormkit popped up amongst the moss. "Violetkit, I'm sor-"
But the face he saw was Nightpelt's. Stormkit stayed frozen for a moment. He looked behind the aged she-cat and saw Creamkit and Violetkit creeping in behind him. He opened his mouth to speak, but Nightpelt caught on too quickly.
The elder whipped her head to the kits. "Now what do we have here? Haven't you kits caused enough of a stir today?" she mewed sharply.
Stormkit looked hurt. "We did. And I'm sorry. It's just....We wanted to play together but our parents are so angry..."

Nightpelt chuckled in amusement. Sandtail and Rivermist would throw a fit if they saw that their kits had snuck out to play together. She'd hate to see that. But at least the kits had more sense than their parents.
"Well?" she mewed. The kits looked befuddled. "Play then!"
Creamkit and Stormkit cheered, then realized they had to be quiet and stopped. But they smiled at Nightpelt, who was proud of her deed.
Soon she was lying in her nest, watching the three race around the roomy den to knock the mossball.
"Let's play mossball!" Stormkit whispered. Creamkit
