Cedarfur stepped from the warrior's den to blink at the newfound alertness. She had been asleep after a lone hunting trip yesterday. Her jaws parted to reveal white, glistening teeth that were sharpened with young age. They snapped together in a quick movement to make a sharp clap sound. She let her pink tongue flash out to lick at the silver hued whiskers along her muzzle.
As usual of the ShadowClan camp, the brambles that surrounded it were casting long, dark beings across the ground and cover the cats. She was no different. But once she moved a few more steps out towards the thin strips of light, she was illuminated into color. Her pelt was the same shade as the trees around her. The smooth, russet coat was sleek with a fresh grooming. The glow was only enhanced with the slight glare of the sky’s light.
At first, the she-cat’s eyes fleetingly looked around for the others. She remembered the night, however, and put it off as the gathering. Still, it was terribly silent for the camp. Even when many retreated to the gathering, some would still be around for company. No surprise, however, she was lonely in the middle of her very camp.
Cedarfur shrugged it off nonchalantly before walking to the fresh-kill pile. She wrinkled her nose at the choices. I’ll think of prey later, she thought before retreating to the shadows once more. Settling down, she let her tongue run over her paws quietly. Though she looked at peace, Cedarfur’s mind was undoubtedly in thought. It always was. The sun colored orbs took another gaze around the bramble-guarded camp before returning to the work of cleaning her paws.
