I'm not pouting, really!

Sandkit entered the nursery, and for once she was surprised. Neither Rivermist, Sandtail, nor any of the kits were inside. Mintleaf was in her usual nest, four tiny newborns curled up next to her. Without all the other cats, though, it looked so empty and lonely. The brown kitten picked her way over to her nest quietly, not wanting to disturb Mintleaf, and curled up in the soft moss where her familiar scent lingered. She blinked a few times, not convinced she would be able to sleep at all.

((Short post, but I didn't want to ramble.))

Though Swiftkit had seen his sister making her way into the nursery, at first he made no attempt to follow her. He was not sure if she would want company, for she had had a very tough day. She probably just wanted to relax on her own. He felt very sorry for poor Sandkit, for he knew that it wasn't her who was trouble, it was that nasty little kit whose name Swiftkit vowed he would never utter again. She was really, really horrible, he thought. And she'd managed to get Sandkit into such trouble, as well as possibly the rest of them. He thought of his mother, talking with Ravenstar and trying to sort out the terrible mess their game had become.

"We should never have played the stupid game." He mumbled, more to himself than anyone else. Finally, he let himself bound through the nursery entrance, blinking as he looked around. There, he spotted Sandkit curled up in her nest, though not looking very asleep. He loitered by the entrance, unsure whether to go over or simply leave her in peace. Peace was something she could probably do with at the moment, after the most eventful day of their lives. He hoped everything would get straightened out and that Ravenstar would calm down both Sandtail and Rivermist, so everything would be all right again.

Foxpaw stumbled sleepily out of the apprentice den. He yawned, fell into a long stretch and looked around the camp. Every cat was wearing the same disturbed expression. What's going on? He thought, tilting his head. He licked his chest swiftly before trotting over to the small group outside of the nursery. "Good morning." He meowed, knowing that it was probably sunhigh already. He had a nasty habit of sleeping late, so he ducked into the nursery in the hope that he would evade a lecture on how to be a good apprentice. It was part of his routine to visit the kits anyway, but even they looked down. "What happened here?" He whispered, backing out. "You guys just can't function without me, can you?"He smiled to himself and sat down by the nursery entrance, hoping to catch some of what happened.

Sandkit burried her nose under her paws, blinking a few more times in an attempt to make herself tired enough to fall asleep. After a little while she sighed to herself. Maybe later, but for now she just wasn't tired.

She heard a noise by the nursery's entrance, and at first was too stubborn to look to see who it was. She wanted them to think she was asleep. After a few seconds and no words were spoken, her curiosity took over and she peeked out at the entrance. Oh, she thought. It was just Swiftkit. At least it wasn't anyone who would be angry at her. Unless Swiftkit was mad all of a sudden.

"Hi, Swiftkit," She meowed, sitting up and curling her tail close to her body. Sandkit soon heard another voice by the entrance, and a ginger tom appeared. "Hi, Foxpaw, what do you want?" She asked, sounding grumpy. Foxpaw was much older than her, and had been made an apprentice when she was only a newborn. Her only memories of him were when he had the 'paw' in his name. He seemed old to her, just like all the other older apprentices and warriors. She was too young to put ages into perspective. They were all old by her definition.
