Silvernose- Sister (Deceased)
Description: Willow's size is average to slightly large. Most of her large appearance can be attributed to her heavy amount of fur. The she-cat's coat is a pretty silvery-gray mix with dark gray tabby stripes. She has a patch of white which mostly lies on her stomach and stretches up to a small spot on her chest. Her undercoat is thick to protect her small yet strong body, and is a light gray color with tints of white. With such long and thick fur, she finds it an absolute pain to keep looking nice. Sometimes she leaves it ungroomed, but for Gatherings and Clan meetings she makes herself wash thoroughly. Overall, Willowstar has a dominating and graceful appearance and it is easy to recognize her as RiverClan's leader.
Personality: A few words can sum up Willow pretty well: hardy, stubborn, and devoted. As headstrong and unyielding as RiverClan cats are known for being, she can really leave an impression. She has a tough personality and usually is very direct, saying what she wants and not flinching when confronted. Occasionally she'll be the one start an argument or fight and doesn't hold back when offended. She is solely interested in doing what is best for her Clan, and won't opt to assist any other Clan unless hers can benefit from it. Willowstar is unbelievably stubborn once she's made up her mind: something that can possibly be a good thing or a bad thing. Above all, she is completely devoted not only to her Clan but to any cat she is close to. She wouldn't have become leader if she did not have the willpower or the compassion to lead a Clan.
History: Willowkit was born after her sister Silverkit during Newleaf. Being the only kits in the nursery at the time, they only had each other to play with. They had good times together, playing simple kit games and bothering the apprentices and warriors. Silverkit occasionally came down with a cough, and the medicine cat said that she couldn't fight off sickness well. Willowkit worried for her even after she had returned to normal.
Time went fast when they were apprentices. Willowpaw and Silverpaw picked up on their training quickly. Silverpaw showed a preference for hunting and tracking, while Willowpaw was a skilled fisher yet found she enjoyed practice fighting the most. She used a semi-direct approach by making her opponent underestimate her and then coming at them with her size and weight. By the end of their apprenticeship, they each excelled in different areas.
Newly-named warriors Willowfur and Silvernose continued to be loyal to RiverClan. A few moons passed and Leaf bare claimed the forest, like every year. But this year was different for Willowfur. Almost as soon as the first snow fell, Silvernose started coughing horribly and didn't have the energy to leave the den. Her fever was serious, and even the medicine cat's herbs couldn't make her sickness go down. She died within a week.
Crushed, Willowfur went on and time went by. She was given an apprentice to mentor, a she-cat called Patchpaw. Even though it was a good experience, the responsibility for such a young cat seemed strange and foreign. Though, Patchpaw was an obedient apprentice, not as troublemaking and difficult as some of the other apprentices, which Willowfur respected. When RiverClan's deputy died suddenly, she was surprised to have been made deputy. Not knowing what to say or how to object, she took the position gratefully and did her best. Somehow she didn't mess up as much as she thought she would and she somehow lost track of time. When the old RiverClan leader finally passed away, it was Willowfur who had to take over leadership. Silvernose had been one of the first cats to give her a life. Willowstar named Blackclaw her first deputy, a cat she could trust and who was strong enough to help her lead the Clan during her first few moons of getting used to the job.
It's been seasons since Willowstar became leader. Blackclaw has since retired to the elders and she named her old apprentice, Patchclaw, as her second deputy. RiverClan is getting by well enough, and she is glad for the good fortune. Being a leader isn't the easiest job in the world, but she does well enough in her opinion. Any cat to tell her otherwise will be in for a rude awakening.
