Description:
stunning, statuesque, r a d i a n t, beautiful, tall, slim, elegant, queenly
A startlingly beautiful youngster who has matured rapidly into a truly dazzling she-cat near fully-grown, Lilypaw is a particularly lovely sight to behold and she is proudly aware of this. Since she can remember, she has always been complimented for her beauty and takes great pride in her appearance. She is tall and statuesque with her slim frame and long legs. Her pretty face seems almost perfectly symmetrical with large, gently slanting blue eyes which are filled with confidence and pride.
Lilypaw is as beautiful as the flower after which she was named with her semi-long, fine pelt of mingling white, black and ginger. Her fur is as soft and silky as a kit's and unmarred by battle. It is quite thin, and while lovely to look at, it is less effective against the biting colds of leaf-bare, though Lilypaw would give up practicality for looks any day. Her tail is thick and plumed in its tri-colour glory and she is often seen sitting upright in a regal position with it curled about her. Lilypaw's build is certainly not one which makes her extraordinarily powerful or fast, but this does not matter at all to her, since she would far rather be beautiful and not built for battle than an unattractive but powerful cat.
Lilypaw possesses a youthful arrogance which reflects itself in her many airs and graces and her attention-grabbing, strutting gait. She likes to make a show of everything, carrying out tasks with a flourish, speaking in a sweet, musical voice or moving in such a way as to hold the attention of every (especially male) eye. When she is pleased and relaxed, she is the picture of beauty and grace, but when she is angry, she can be very unpleasant indeed. Still, comparing appearances with Lilypaw is usually a demoralising thing to do.
Personality:
blessed, vain, charming, c l e v e r, brave, confident, conceited, immature
Since the very earliest days for Lilypaw, she has been pampered and preened and reminded of how lovely she looks and this treatment has, of course, had its effects. Lilypaw is somewhat vain and arrogant, usually speaking her mind without restraint or fear. Her confidence is both a quality and a flaw, for though she is a strikingly bold and strong cat, she has also been known to be scathing and critical towards that which she does not approve of or is unfamiliar with. That being said, she mostly does not intentionally anger others but lacks the foresight to realise her words can cause conflict.
However, her headstrong, act-without-prior-thought behaviour is closely linked to her youth and childish self-belief. Not a mean-spirited cat at heart, Lilypaw is simply over-pampered and too proud of herself and could do with learning a little humility. As she grows older, she slowly gains a little more tact, though whether she chooses to employ it or not is a different matter. Her decisiveness and steadfast belief in her own opinions makes her fiercely loyal and a venomous opponent. She also has an innate attractiveness because of her charm, wit, flirtatiousness and willingness to laugh and socialise, so she has many friends and admirers.
The present is a confusing phase of Lilypaw's life where she is not quite a kit, but not yet an adult either. She has a naive belief in her self-importance and this makes her come across as rather uppity, but overall, very little has gone wrong for this lucky she-cat who seemingly has had the most blessed of lives. Most things which Lilypaw turns her paw to are successful; she learns quickly and naturally and does not have to work too hard (which is fortunate since Lilypaw is definitely not one for putting in a lot of effort). Nonetheless, even though she is lucky in many ways and looks like the most beautiful flower, there are most definitely a multitude thorns waiting to be disarmed with time.
History:Nothing was out of the ordinary at the birth of Lilykit, Wrenkit and Hazelkit. The trio were born in the tender warmth of the last days of Greenleaf when prey was still plentiful and the forest had not yet been chilled by the approaching Leaf-fall. Because of this time of plenty, Lilykit never lacked anything she wanted and her kin took great care of her, tending to her every need. From the start, Lilykit was strong, healthy and beautifully formed. Most who came to visit the nursery were taken by her delicate beauty and she quickly became aware of the power a charming smile and a sweet voice could hold. Her uncles brought her special treats from time to time or her aunts fussed over her and Lilykit lapped up the attention, delighted by it.
Of course, her siblings too were included in this special fussing and when Lilykit felt she was not the centre of attention, she could easily become loud and attention-seeking, leading to a few squabbles with Wrenkit and Hazelkit. Lilykit was always quite bossy and opinionated, never seen to sit quietly or follow her sisters. For one so young, she acted in a surprisingly sneaky way from time to time, able to manipulate things to go her way with a beseeching look or an innocent smile. Forever liking to take the role of the precious darling in the nursery, Lilykit made sure her best side was presented to those in authority. As she got older and her kit-like cuteness gave way to a more mature, undeniable beauty, her confidence and self-assuredness only grew.
Apprenticed with her sisters at six moons, Lilypaw did not exactly throw herself into her training, but she did excel anyway. Her mentor was perfectly pleased with her progress, even if it did seem like Lilypaw was only putting in half of what she could do. It was clear that there was potential which could be reached if the pretty youngster would only work harder, but it was impossible to coax Lilypaw into giving more to her training. Her mother and father remained completely unconcerned by Lilypaw's attitude, claiming she would soon grow out of her flippant attitude. After all, she was not under-performing and they were very proud of their stunning daughter. In any case, they had to worry about poor Hazelpaw's training, since she was struggling whilst Lilypaw was cruising along unconcernedly. More interested in socialising and chatting with the handsome young toms, Lilypaw acted more like a young warrior herself as she passed her eighth moon. She was an early developer, meaning she already looked like a cat of a few more moons than she actually was even at that age. She always coexisted with her sisters well enough and, though she occasionally grew impatient with Hazelpaw's short attention span, she has always enjoyed the company of both sisters, though they may well have resented her flirtatiousness and hogging of male attention at times.
Lilypaw's first 'relationship' was actually when she was only five moons old and she solemnly said she was together with another young kit, Firekit, who was awed into submission by the then-Lilykit's apparent knowledge of relationships. After that there were a couple of additional immature relationships, such as one with an eight-moon-old tom named Stonepaw when she was fresh into the apprentices' den at six moons old. However, she counts her first 'official' relationship as that which she shared with a young tom named Hailwhisker, who was snowy-white and very handsome. She was with him for around a moon and she considered herself quite in love with him, but he was to be her very first experience of heartbreak since, on one rainy night, he crept away from SkyClan to be with another she-cat. That she-cat was a common kittypet that he'd met when hunting who lived with twolegs some distance away.
Lilypaw was devastated by Hailwhisker's betrayal and she was only lifted from her misery by another young tom, but one unlike any other she'd befriended before. Until the drama with Hailwhisker, Lilypaw was into good looks, charm and confidence, generally leading her to date handsome toms who were already warriors. This tom was quite the opposite; he was also an apprentice, and though he was one moon older than her, he was not ahead of her in training since he was constantly battling illness which stopped him from training. The tom was Smallpaw, a young black-and-white cat who had long since had a fervent crush on Lilypaw, though she was too absorbed with her socialite lifestyle to notice him until the days after Hailwhisker left when he brought her a beautiful lily to cheer her up.
Though she was initially unkind to Smallpaw, Lilypaw was soon swamped by guilt at her cruel treatment of him, and she apologised. She kept the lily until it faded away, but even when it did she did not forget how kind Smallpaw had been. She became close friends with him.
