Description:
little, lithe, graceful, pretty, d a i n t y, slim, quick
Very little, very pretty and very dainty, Robinwing has always had plenty of poise and elegance. In looks, she takes after her mother, though she firmly declares that to be the only way in which they are similar. She looks quite fragile because of her very slim frame and tiny paws, though she is a cat who can use her claws with lightning speed. Her pelt is short and sleek, quite typical of a RiverClan cat, in a light brown shade with darker tabby stripes. She has a small face with impressively expressive green eyes which are just short of being too large for such a little cat. She has a way of half-smiling which makes her look like she's trying not to laugh, though usually she is quite a composed cat who is never caught looking silly. She has a fortunate trait of always managing to appear bright eyed and bushy tailed, even if she had been up all night. Looks are quite important to Robinwing, so she takes excellent care of herself. At the moment she is in prime condition; having grown out of being a skinny apprentice and flourished as she grew. She knows she is not bad-looking, but she also does not believe herself to be devastatingly beautiful and is slightly insecure about herself. Sometimes she does appear rather anxious and self-conscious.
Personality:
thoughtful, p e r c e p t i v e, mysterious, insecure, WITTY, quiet, affectionate
Robinwing does not tend to speak when she does not need to and is quite a mysterious character. It's quite difficult to get Robinwing to divulge very much about herself, though to her closest friends she has few secrets. She enjoys the company of others and has a circle of fierce friends. Robinwing is a little shy at first, so it can take a while to warm up to her, but once she becomes properly acquainted with other cats she is good-tempered, outgoing and affectionate. She has not had the best luck with toms so far, and because of this she is a bit wary of starting relationships, though she would love to have a mate and kits. Although Robinwing does not seem to have any reason to be unhappy, underneath she is rather insecure about herself and needs to be reassured and to feel loved. She is quite adventurous and likes trying new things, but sometimes she is held back by worries of failing. Robinwing wants to do everything perfectly, which is of course an unrealistic wish, so this sometimes causes her to become disappointed and annoyed with herself. She is particularly bright and quick-witted, seeking out witty and intelligent cats to surround herself with.
History:
Robinwing's mother was quite the most beautiful cat around, though she and her mate parted ways soon after their one kit was born and he, Oakclaw, died before Robinkit knew him. As a kit, she always knew that the toms of the Clan paid her mother a lot of attention, though they did not seem particularly fond of Robinkit herself. In fact, sometimes her mother seemed rather annoyed that she had to be responsible for a kit, even if it were just one, small she-kit without any siblings. Robinkit always wished she had brothers and sisters, because as she grew up in the nursery she was very lonely. There were no kits for her to play with, and half the time her mother was nipping out to chat to her friends.
Though she tried hard not to be resentful for the fact that her mother was so inattentive to her, Robinkit could not help being hurt and angry that she was always second-best. And what made things worse was when Robinkit reached six moons and became an apprentice, her mother was always criticising her and picking on what she made sound like her thousands of flaws. Robinpaw's mother always urged her to stand up straight, to smooth her pelt and "for StarClan's sake, stop scowling, you look like an elder!". Robinpaw's relationship with her mother deteriorated very quickly, and to top things off, she gained an underlying anxiety and insecurity, as if the world was always going to look for the worst in her.
The best antidote to her mother's influnence was the company she found with four she-cats who would be her lifelong best friends. Gingerpaw and Littlepaw from her own Clan were close to her in age and so they were friends from an early age. Dovepaw and Thrushpaw were two other young she-cats from WindClan that Robinpaw befriended on her very first Gathering as an apprentice. The five of them became extremely close and did all possible things together. It was at this young age that they cooked up a plan which would one day shape the rest of their lives. Given that they already did so much together, they made a pact to one day also get pregnant together, so they could have the experience at the same time.
Training was a struggle for both Robinpaw and her mentor. Her mother was always interfering and claiming Robinpaw was "a thousand fox-lengths behind" all the other apprentices, and asking why hadn't she mastered this move, or that defence, or why hadn't she caught her first fish yet? But the irony was that Robinpaw was actually very good. She was talented and a rapid learner, even if she was often afraid of failing and not doing well, and if she had not had the constant worry of her mother over her shoulder, she would likely have flown through training. There were many rough patches along the way for both her and her mentor, a cat whose patience was supremely tested. Nonetheless, Robinpaw got through it and, to her mentor's relief, she was made a warrior when she was twelve moons old.
Now older, wiser and better equipped to deal with her mother, Robinwing tried to stand on her own paws and speak up for herself. She had it out with her mother in an infamously long, loud argument. Unfortunately, her mother was never one to accept being defied, and since that day the pair are not on speaking terms. Robinwing has had enough of being overshadowed by her own mother, but somehow she cannot quite shake off her lingering presence.
The first time Robinwing did anything truly spontaneous, truly for herself, was when she met a tom on Gathering night when she was with her friend Gingertail. He was charming, sweet-talking and confident, and they ended up spending the whole Gathering flirting and teasing together. Unfortunately, this tom was Batheart, a ShadowClan warrior. Robinwing felt she could not pursue a serious relationship with the tom, though she was sorely tempted since she was actively seeking a mate due to her involvement with her childhood plan to become pregnant at the same time as her four best friends.
Nonetheless, Robinwing thought she would not be able to see Batheart again in spite of the stirrings of attraction. That lasted until she saw him again at a Gathering. While there, she decided to throw caution to the wind and invited him to come to her two nights from then on RiverClan territory. If he came, she knew she would choose him as her mate, and when he did so, she was overjoyed. They became mates from that night on.

I lift my eyes; the cloud grows thin
I see the blue above it
And day by day this pathway smooths
Since first I learned to love it.
The peace and love makes fresh my heart
A fountain ever springing
All things are mine since I am his
How can I keep from singing?
