Kin: Birchpaw, Blackmaw(mother, deceased) Father unknown, Doveflight(Adoptive mother, deceased) Lightningfang (adoptive sibling)
Description: Crowpaw is just an average mutt of a cat, with the appearance of a Black Smoke cat. Most of his pelt is a soft, cloudy gray with darker storm cloud-gray paws. That color forms a mask on his face, but like his mother Blackmaw, his muzzle is a very dark, inky-black. His large, round and expressive eyes are golden in color with a few amber flecks around his pupils. His nose, paw pads, and the insides of his small-ish ears are a medium pink. His pelt is long and silky, with a slight curl to it. He is darker on top then he is on the bottom. His stomach, chest, the insides of his legs and the bottom of his tail are smoke-colored.
Personality: Unlike his very curious and impulsive brother, Crowpaw likes to think things through. He tries his best to shine just as bright as his shining brother, so he's already used to a good bit of hard work. He chooses his words with caution, and doesn't like to tread over the toes over other cats, in a way. Crowpaw is a bit on the shy side, and prefers to keep watch over his Clan. He's a dedicated student, enjoying his work more than playing or fooling around with his clanmates. If he isn't seen in camp, or in the medicine cat's den...he probably can;t be found anywhere you would think a young cat to be. He's probably hiding somewhere, away from the hustle and bustle of the Clan's camp.
He's very cautious around others, and obeys the rules the best he can..Even the thought of breaking one makes him feel a bit queasy. He knows cats make mistakes..it happens often, and there's always repurcussions..and they aren't always pretty. He doesn't want that kind of trouble for himself. All he wants is for life to flow on smoothly.
History: He was born to a WindClan queen named Blackmaw, who'd had a difficult pregnancy the whole way through, but she finally gave out after giving birth to her first litter of two little toms, who were later named Birchkit and Crowkit by the other queens in the WindClan Nursery. Close to having her own kits, Doveflight took in the two brothers, and has since raised them as their own. There are no plans as of now to tell them about Blackmaw. If they ever figure it out that Doveflight isn't really their mother, they'll ask...but Birchpaw and his brother don't seem to be that interested right now.
Actually, it seems Birchpaw may never really care at all. Crowpaw has a worrying feeling that he and his brother cannot possibly related. They look nothing like their ‘sibling’ or their "mother". So Crowpaw investigated the blurred edges of his past. No one seemed to be willing to give out information. It’s not that Blackmaw was hated in her Clan. Not at all. She made her clanmates promise not to tell her sons unless it was absolutely necessary. Sadly, it hadn’t really been vital.
When Crowpaw became Medicine cat apprentice, he pulled his brother aside, to reveal what he had found out about their family. Birchpaw, after hearing the information, wouldn't believe Crowpaw, he declared that Crowpaw was calling him a liar. After a few days, Birchpaw ran away, leaving WindClan. Crowpaw later found out it wasn't because of the "lies", but because he felt betrayed by Crowpaw. All his life,so far, Birchpaw had dreamedof being a warrior with his brother. Now tha his dream has been broken, so has his heart. WindClan didn't feel like home, and now Crowpaw feels like a monster. He hurt the only family he really had left.
For some time, he was pretty much left on his own by his mentor. He , wasn't entirely sure why the medicine cat was suddenly hanging around some she-cat...but it meant time alone. Time he spent trying to train himself, and it just wasn't going very well...so he looked for help, and found it in the form of Riverclan's medicine cat apprentice. Ivypaw was nice, she helped him..she knew more, and she was older....They became friends, as most young cats do, but he can't help but feel a bit more...happy than he should be when she comes around. He shouldn't have any feelings like that...he's not supposed to.
But it'll fade in time...right?
It has to...Doesn't it?
Roleplay example: (Though I don't know if we still need this...)
How he'd ended up in here, he didn't know, but somehow Hedgepaw had found himself in the Nursery. He stepped carefully around the den, avoiding the tusseling bodies of kits and trying not to trip on his paws. He noticed Yowlingfur and Fernsplash working on the Nursery walls and was about to ask them if his help was needed, seeing as there wasn't much else for him to do, but then he noticed Sunkit sitting off by herself. It hadn't been that long ago that he'd been in there, even if he'd only been in there for less than a moon, and the only memories he had of his experience were bright and full of meaningles chatter. He weaved past the older cats until he had reached the small white she-kit.
"Why so quiet? There's plenty to do if you look hard enough." He mewed, sitting down in front of her, his green eyes sparkling. His head tilted to the side as he looked closer. She wasn't bored. She was sad! "Is there anything I can do, Sunkit?"
(Italicized words are by Sunclaw at Silverblood) (Oh gawd.....it's terrible..-headdesk- What was I thinking on that site?)
Sunkit looked up at the tom, blinking her golden eyes with wonder./ Have I seen him before?/ She thought, licking her paw with her eyes half closed and flicked her small furry tail. She glaced at her mother, who was still asleep and sighed."No." She meowed, her tone alittle harsh and looked at the tom again.
He looked oddly like her father, who died saving the camp from a fox and seemed to act like him too. She shugged the feeling off, slowly looking back down to her paws and lashed her tail.
Hedgepaw sat back, confused. He stayed sitting there, intent on cracking through Sunkit's silence. At least he'd gotten her to speak, and small victories amounted to greater ones, usually.
"Well, is there anything I can do?And if you say 'Get Out', I won't do that.'"
He grinned impishly, leaning his head back.
Sunkit flicked her ears, getting annoyed by his talking and started to claw at the ground with her small claws. She wanted to tell him to leave her alone, but he wouldn't move if she said that and he seemed to try to be friendly. Sighing again, she licked her chest a few times and looked at Hedgepaw with narrowed eyes.
Without warning, she stood up and bounded forward, aiming to tackle the big tom down. /If he wanted to talk to me, why not play with me then?/ She thought, as she closed in on him.
Hedgepaw rolled back playfully, acting like Sunkit had knocked him over.Keepin his claws in, he hooked his back paws under her and lifted her up, holding her in the air, chuckling.
"Try and get down." He mewed, his front paws curled over his chest, which shook slightly as he laughed.
"Before we left her, my mother used to do this with my brother and I. And now I can get down from any high-up spot,no problem. So it's useful. I'm not being mean, just teaching you stuff.Alright?" He lay his head back on the Nursery floor, watching Sunkit as he held her up."It seems wierd, but problem solving skill are the only thing you need here, and you're a smart little She-kit, I can tell."
Herbs: Alder Bark-Best used for toothaches
Burdock Root-When the dug up root has been washed, it can be chewed into a pulp which is good for all cuts and scrapes, especially rat bites, even if they're infected. Be carefull not to swallow it. Don't use any other part of the plant other than the roots.
Celandine-Celandine is best used to treat ailents of the eyes
Chervil-The plant itself can be used to treat infected wounds while the root is best for bellyache.
Parsely-isn't used for much, but is good for stopping the milk in nursing queens if their kits die.
