Description:
Much like (actually, nearly identical to) his two sisters in appearance, Sleetpaw has an average build. His legs are long, making him a bit taller than his two siblings. Despite being a tom, some of his features are more feminine. For example, he's a bit more slender than the average tom, more graceful. His features are a bit feminine as well. A triangular head, big, pretty blue eyes, and a pink nose situated right on the tip of his long muzzle.
Now we move on to Sleetpaw's pelt. Medium in length, his fur is thick and warm, but water seems to soak right up into it when it is rainy or if he goes for a swim. His fur itself is a spotless, clean white. One of the disadvantages in having beautiful white fur (he is quite proud of his fur) is that everything shows up on it. Dirt, mud, moss, sand, everything. He is very meticulous about cleaning his fur. However, it blends in very well with snow, allowing him to fade into the background easily during leafbare. During the rest of the seasons, his pelt stand out in stark contrast against the rest of the surroundings.
His voice, as well, is a bit more feminine. It is higher pitched than the average tom. NOt really high pitched, but higher all the same. Actually, when he and his sisters were kits (and even to this day, on occasion), they were mixed up and called by the wrong name. Considering the fact that his mother named all of her kits after some form of leafbare precipitation and that they all looked almost exactly alike, this isn't really surprising, although sometimes highly irritating.
Personality:
Growing up in a litter of only she-cats has had an effect on Sleetpaw's personality. He's certainly not the most tomlike tom you'll meet. In fact, he is far from it. He leans more towards the feminine side. He doesn't like getting his pelt dirty, and is a bit of a neat freak. He'll groom his pelt until it shines and neaten his nest daily, and when he cleans the nursery or the elders' den you know that its gonna be done as clean as can be. He doesn't care for things like hunting or fighting, instead preferring to play with the kits and chat with the elders or queens. He's been known to offer up his services in fetching herbs for the medicine cats.
Sleetpaw has a bit of an attitude, backtalking sometimes when he doesn't get his way. He likes things to be done a certain way - his way. Although he can be a bit moodswingy, he is generally in a very peppy, happy mood. The main way to get on his bad side is by doing something to his sisters; he is essentially a very loyal brother, and protective as well, possibly overly so. He is also heavily influenced by them in his opinions of other cats; if they don't like a cat, he's likely to dislike them as well.
The similarities between he and his sisters' appearances causes them to be mistaken for each other on occasion, possibly aiding in his femininity. It does, however, irritate him when someone calls him Snowpaw or Icepaw. This will warrant a snap or a glare at the offender.
He might seem a bit strange with his tendency to flirt with cats of both genders, but that's just the way he is. He did grow up with she-cats, after all. And when you're as easily influenced by family as he is, its hard not to let some of their interests leave an imprint on him.
History:
Two cats, Flipperwhisker and Dawntail, were young and in love. Only a few short moons after their warrior ceremonies, the duo welcomed a litter of kits. Three of them, two she-cats and a tom. The three were so alike in looks, same soft white fur, big blue eyes, near exact build, even, that for moons cats had trouble telling them apart. Dawntail and Flipperwhisker knew, though, and the she-kits were dubbed Snowkit and Icekit while the tom was named Sleetkit. Sleetkit's father was extremely proud to have a son, but his mother wondered sometimes if perhaps it was a mistake, and he was truly a she-cat. This may have aided in his femininity later in life.
For moons throughout their kithood, the three were called by the wrong names. "Hey Icekit!" a warrior would say.
"I'm Sleetkit," would come an irritated reply.
"Hurry on back to the nursery, Snowkit!" would say the elders.
"I'm Sleetkit," he would grumble.
After a while he actually got used to being called by Snowkit or Icekit as well as his own name, and it stopped bothering him so much. He would actually respond to his sisters' names. Of course, they would respond to his as well. It got to the point that when one name was called, all three of them would look up, simply because they weren't sure who the offender was referring to. They used to make a game of confusing other cats, even.
When they became apprenticed, it was a bit different. They were easier to tell apart then, mostly because of the mentor they hung around with.
Still, they get mixed up on occasion. But even though its annoying, Sleetpaw puts up with it. He does look (and act) a bit feminine, after all, and he knows it.
He fits right in with his sisters.
