Description:
Foxfur's coat is quite similar to that of a fox's hence the reason for his name. His fur is medium length and a ginger color mixed with white on his underbelly. The fur on his back and head was a dark ginger color. His bottom has spots of dark ginger on black. The top of his head between his ears and the back is more black than ginger. Foxfur's muzzle is white around the mouth and under the chin. His tail is fluffy and a light sand color with a black tip. Under his fur he is well muscled, allowing him to be a fast runner and strong fighter. His yellow green eyes are wide and curious and if you look deep enough into them you may see sorrow.
Personality:
Serious and quiet are two words that best describe Foxfur. He tries his hardest to do a task set before him. He also tries his best to do any and every task with out a second thought or complaint. That's just on the outside. On the inside he is a kind cat who loves his family and friends. This love means that if there is something fatal in a friends plan he will point it out. For anyone but a friend he will just bow his head and do as he is told. He always strives for cats to see his good points. He is of course a polite cat but he gets annoyed sometimes too. The one thing that really peeves him is when cats only look fur deep and don't look at the cat on the inside. This probably comes from the way he was treated most of his life.
History:
Foxfur was born to his parents as Foxkit in a litter of three, but he and his siblings were special little kittens. His mother was from ThunderClan and his father was from ShadowClan. His father decided that he belonged in ShadowClan and after getting permission from ShadowClan's leader he was taken. Foxfur couldn't say that growing up was horrible for him. The other cats were decently nice to him but he could tell they didn't like him. There were also the cats who blatantly showed their hate. His father tried to protect him from the harshness of the other cats but not as much as he could have.
If asked what one of the happiest moments of his life was, Foxfur would definitely name the day he became an apprentice. He honestly did not believe that it was possible for him to become an apprentice. Of course it was traditional and happened to every cat, but he was different and some of the other cats really didn't like him. Foxfur's mentor trained him hard, harder than he suspected the other apprentices got trained. He didn't mind to much; the soreness was bad, yes, but it meant that he would be strong.
After many moons Foxfur finally got his warrior name. This was another one of his happiest moments. As a warrior he strived to do his best. He would catch as much prey as he possibly could. Striving to catch more than he could carry. He even trained during his free time making sure that he would be strong and prepared to fight valiantly for his Clan. He wanted to show that even though he was born of cats from two diffrent clans he would fight only for ShadowClan.
Foxfur had always told himself he wouldn't make the same mistake as his father. He would mate with only a ShadowClan cat even if it killed him. Of course this was before he knew what love was like, Before he met the love of his life. She was of WindClan and he was of ShadowClan. Clan boundaries did not seem to matter though. He was in love. He told himself not to get involved with her- that it would only bring more shame upon him. Love wasn't that simple though, of course. He finally couldn't resist and approached her only to find that they both carried the shame of being born of two separate clans.
Their love blossomed and they met each other at the Gatherings but soon that wasn't enough. They began meeting each other during the night. The meetings started every so often spread apart but they became more frequent as their love for each other became greater. Then it happened, she came one night and told him the news. She was bearing his kits. He wasn't quite sure if he should be happy or upset. Their love would no longer be secret and it would be another shame he would carry the burden of, but he was going to have kits. He put on a great facade of happiness but worried all the way back to the camp that night.
Now his children were older and they carried the same burden as he did. He loved them very much and didn't want them to grow up with cats disliking them because of their parents, it wasn't proper. He also didn't want his clanmates to think he was no longer loyal towards ShadowClan. He was torn between two important things. His Clan and his family.
Roleplay example:
For the tom wandering the ShadowClan moors, he had no path to take but merely a place to wander. He was still trying to control the hidden feelings beneath his stolid features. His pelt glowed in the flecks of sunlight and then darkened with the shadows that followed. Pale yellow eyes were not intent on his course but merely clouded in thoughts.
Within his mind, he reviewed the kits he now fathered. He was careful on showing any true emotion over the situation but guilt was hanging on his shoulders. He was a half-Clan cat, was he not? A mother of ThunderClan and a father of ShadowClan classified him as such. Now he had doomed eight kits to the same fate he had. It wasn't always bad to have a mixed blood in one's veins. At the same time, everybody despised cats that had no choice in their parents. He had promised himself he wouldn't do such a thing!
Foxfur stopped walking and gave a small sigh of little emotion. "Great StarClan," he muttered. "Why must I be given a choice that is too hard to make?" His questions went to an empty air. "My family is important and yet my Clan is the family before them. I always wonder how my father made such a decision." With a shake of his head, Foxfur continued on towards his camp, a decision he didn't get a choice in making, and for that he was thankful.
