Huh, so I'm a mentor now, the brown tabby thought to himself, a confused expression coming across his face. What in the world did mentors do with their apprentices anyway? All he knew was that he had to train Rowanpaw toward being a warrior, and that was pretty much it. Nothing that was exciting, nothing like trying to find a she-cat for his own will, nothing at all... Once his head was in the apprentice's den, he prodded the she-cat with one of his paws, twice light, once hard.

"Rowanpaw, wake up. We're training." He muttered under his breath, turning to head out and into the center of the camp once more. He would give her a moment to get her body out into the clearing, of course. Amber eyes darted toward the den, then up toward the clear sky. This day would be a very nice one indeed, it's just going to start when she decides to join him.

After a few moments were over with, he turned toward the exit of the camp, hopefully his apprentice behind him. If she wasn't there, than whatever. They can do this some other day. All Mudstripe wanted to do was just get her away from her mother more, so that she can be an independent little she-cat, make her own decisions.

That was all he could really do, right?

It was just a bad dream, it had to be. None of this was real..or so she continued to tell herself every night she slept. But each morning when she awoke she was still in the same place. She had been an apprentice for quite some time already, but it still didn't seem to sink in. The first few nights she had refused to spend the night in the apprentices den, and snuck back into the nursery. She didn't like all this change. Now she was in this den without her mother, sure she had her siblings but how could she help Ashflower in here? She was practically useless. The young apprentice wanted nothing more than to go back in time, stay with her mother in the nursery, and just be herself. But no, not anymore.

It was the first time that Rowanpaw had actually slept the entire night in the apprentices den. Usually she was found in the nursery, or well anywhere other than here. But she had fallen asleep, and woke up not once during the night. But her sleep was soon disturbed by the soft paws of something, and then the last prod had become hard. Jumping up in fright, the young apprentice cowered in fear. Mudstripe had came to wake her. Well, he had succeeded thusfar.

Padding out of the den, she followed him up until she saw what was going on. They were going out of camp? Shaking her head she looked around the camp. There really was no one who could save her right now. And her mother wasn't around. Could this get any worse? Rowanpaw was very reluctant, and took her time in deciding. Maybe they would find her mother out of camp. With that thought in mind, she made her way closer to her mentor. "Do you think my mommy is out there?" she asked softly.
