Description:
A good word to describe Gingerpaw is ‘small’, and that would be because she is: she’s a pretty tiny little thing, no matter what anyone else says, and, despite this, she’s still pretty strong; catch her denying it. Maybe the small size comes from her mother’s side of the family, maybe from her father’s, but she’s a small cat. In personality, though, she’s pretty big (I hate it so much when people give size to things that don’t have size a size, yet I’m doing so myself. Aren’t I a hypocrite?).
Buildwise, Gingerpaw isn’t all that muscular: she’s quite thin; sleek, as we might say (well, I might if I was being pretentious). Most of her size (like I said, she’s little) is actually the thick fur that so happens to cover her skinny little body, so, unless she was wet, you wouldn’t really be able to tell how large she actually is, but underneath all of that fluff, she’s tiny. Like I said, though, it’s not so obvious where she gets her tiny-ness from. Not her mother, probably not her father. Maybe she just has the tiny gene? Probably.
Her pelt is… well, if I had to describe it in a word, it would be ‘ginger’. Because that is what she is. A little ginger tabby she-cat with a white chest and tail-tip (in fact, you could use that for the short description). The most of her fur is a nice orange colour, with darker tabby stripes her and there, including the classic tabby ‘m’ on her forehead. It kind of looks like eyebrows to me. Anyway, all tabbies have them, so there isn’t really that much to say on that subject. Her chest is white, looking sort of like someone threw paint at her and it hit her neck and chest (not that I’m suggesting that you should do that). Also, her tail-tip is white. All in all, she… looks like no-one in her family: her mother’s black, her father’s a brown tabby. Like Icepaw and Squirrelpaw, she’s something of a wild-card.
Her eyes… well, they are also ginger, or, to be more exact, amber. They’re a sort of gold colour; they’re too deep to be described as amber, but too pale to be yellow or orange. So, I will say that her eyes are a very rich, red-gold colour, and leave you to form your own opinions.
Probably the strangest thing, though, is the peculiar mark on her back: it is in the shape of a crescent moon, there is no fur on it (just skin), and it’s… a birth-mark, Blackwing supposes. So does Bramblefoot. When he has time to suppose, he supposes, at least. But… it’s not a smooth line; it’s jagged, and around it her fur is darker ginger, almost red. It’s strange… A birthmark in itself is pretty odd, but one like this… Weird.
Personality:
Gingerpaw is the sane one in a litter full of idiots, or that is what she would say if asked, and, hey, it’s probably true: her brothers and sisters are all pretty stupid; they’re constantly sneaking out of camp right under their parents’ and mentors’ noses. Of course, there’s always a Gingerpaw there to rat on them and tell, but still, it’s pretty idiotic, particularly given what happened to pretty much any cat with a connection to Branchwhatever - his sister (who apparently looked just like Gingerpaw, but that’s a cat for another bio) was killed sneaking out of camp (although no body was ever found), and he lost two of his lives out of camp, and so did his father (actually, all of the aforementioned losses were due to rats, oddly enough). Anyway, she isn’t the sort to sneak out of camp - she isn’t obedient per se, she just thinks she’s above sneaking out of camp and getting in to trouble.
Branchwhatever once observed, “If ever a cat was just like Redpaw, it’s Gingerpaw,” and he was right: Gingerpaw and Redkit might as well be one and the same, because they practically are: Redkit was quiet and intelligent, and so is Gingerpaw. I mean, they can’t be the same cat, because… well, Redkit is dead, but… Then again, the similarities between the cats are… they’re scary, really. But she’s mature, probably beyond her moons, and very sweet-hearted.
Now, if Gingerpaw has a major fault, it’s her cautiousness: It’s like she somehow knows what happened to Redkit (she doesn’t; no-one ever told her, so how could she know?), and she’s cautious of going anywhere on her own now. It might be normal; she might just be a naturally cautious cat, but it almost seems un-natural. But… the apprentices are a bit odd in any case; they are the perfect reflection of the cats who are closest to their parents, and that in itself is strange. Well, Gingerpaw may just be one-upping them on strange.
Yeah, that’s probably it.
History:
In SkyClan - in every Clan, in fact - a lot of kits are born, and every kit is special; to their parents, to their friends, to everyone in the Clan, because each kit is a new life, and unique in its own right.
So that is why, when a litter of six kits was born seven moons ago in SkyClan, there was happiness there, for a while at least, particularly with their parents’ best friends: their parents’ names were - are - Blackwing and Bramblefoot, and the friends Branchwhatever, Oakflower and Brownpelt. They had known each-other ever since they were kits, and they had always been close. Always had been, always would be.
Anyway, the six kits - Ratpaw, Squirrelpaw, Finchpaw, Icepaw, Gingerpaw and Sablepaw, were always very close - but they also started to display the characteristics of their parents and those close to them:
Ratpaw is the flirtatious leader, like Branchwhatever.
Squirrelpaw is the intelligent, socially inept sibling, like Bramblefoot.
Finchkit is the cheerful sister who can solve the fights, like Blackwing.
Sablekit is the feisty little kitten who won’t stand for insults, like Oakflower.
Icekit is anxious and skittish, but still clever, like Brownpelt.
And Gingerpaw, the final kitten; the last-born: she is just like Branchsomething’s deceased sister, Redkit.
And that’s the strangest thing.
Anyway, the six siblings grew, and not just in size and build: they grew to be more and more like the cats that they were similar to: they had started off showing slight similarities to them; insignificant things, but now… Bramblefoot has noticed (and he isn’t the only one) that it’s like looking in to a mirror!
As they hit six moons, the six kittens were made apprentices, and that was when it got really strange: the kits had always been sneaking out of camp, because that’s what kits do, but… Gingerpaw was so unwilling to go out on her own. It was like she knew about Redkit somehow, and… well… that couldn’t have happened, right?
Right?

Other:
I did a little research in to this (using Wikipedia, stupidly enough, or I think so), and I found out that things like this actually happen. Thus, I present to you, my research. Yes, my research is research. Have a problem with that?
I honestly have no idea.
As a human, and grown up. Another NCIS cat.
