Description:
Thin bodied and agile Emberstep is more of a hunter then anything else. The tom is small and light, giving him an edge in mouse hunting at the same time that it slackens his ability to fight. For Emberstep his speed is everything, and those small orange paws are very quick. In relation to his coloration the male is a white base. His body is pale and clean, except for the piebald markings careening across the snow hued pelt. The blocks on ginger are striped through. These blotches are irregular in shape and tend to be larger on the right side of his body then they are on his left.
The only really symmetrical marks on his body are the orange tabby cap on his skull and his four ginger pointed paws. Other then these the blotches of color are irregular and slant in awkward ways. The cap on his skull comes down to the emerald green eyes, and angles backward from their outer edges to encircle his skull. On that note his four socks come up to the ankle on every paw, and tend to drip upward near the front.
Personality:
Schizoid Psychology of or pertaining to a personality disorder marked by dissociation, passivity, withdrawal, inability to form warm social relationships, and indifference to praise or criticism.
Cold and indifferent the tom simply ignores most people. His opinions are all that matters to him, and maybe that makes him selfish but it works. Why should he help others when they avoid him just as often as he avoids them? Survival of the fittest and all that. Despite his general behavior of blank uncaring, Emberstep has a horrid temper. Certain things set him off, and its just not pretty. The male holds grudges until one of you is dead, and will pull off his winning in any way necessary. Violent as a rule Emberstep simply doesn't care about others. Die, go ahead. He's not gonna help you if its a choice between you or him. On the other hand if your just being stupid he might save your butt just for the opportunity to tell you so.
Intelligent in a wicked twisting sort of way, Emberstep can readily be called upon to find the answers to must conflicting puzzles. Whatever supplied his brain with the disorder also supplied it with a quirked cleverness that could put a fox to shame. Not above using people, it can be rather dangerous to go along with his plans at any point. The tom finds vicious amusement in pissing off everyone around him. He enjoys making others look bad, and would never miss an opportunity to point out stupidity. Emberstep realizes that just about everyone who has ever met him hates him within minutes, and finds such information highly amusing.
History:
Born to a normal family Emberstep wasn't very much as a kitten. Quiet and evasive he was never the one to make friends with others. Even with a full nursery the kit hid away in a corner and amused himself. It made his mother a bit anxious, as her brother had shared the same traits and had been a horrid cat that had been killed in battle the moon before. But it was the same, and the mother began to ignore the child just as the mother before her had. Emberstep took it all in stride, never having felt anything for the food provider.
As an apprentice the tom cat drove his mentor insane. Poor Lionfang having to deal with such an arrogant child. He never listened to a word the warrior said. His skills came from his instruction, yes. But he took more knowledge from those around him then from Lionfang. As an apprentice Emberstep wandered off randomly in his new freedom and was punished multiple times for not hunting or for eating on patrol. Multiple things that he never actually learned from, or refused to learn from. He was simply a hassle for everyone around him.
As a warrior, having taken that he had to have a certain level of loyalty to his Clan to stay apart of it Emberstep has become a slightly better cat. If by better you mean faker. He has grown to understand that he must play house with those around him, and as such had begun to be a reliable hunter. Moons have past and the warrior has found himself under the title senior warrior, and though he is looked to at times for war wisdom he is generally ignored when it comes to decisions. His selfishness is infamous.
