Description: Now, there are many different types of beauty. Think about people, for example. There are skinny little blonde girls with shiny hair, and usually they are the ones people call beautiful. Real beauty, however, is different. Take Snowpaw, for example. Snowpaw may not seem beautiful or attractive at first. She may even look plain. She doesn’t have any complex stripes or a contrasting pelt. But if you look at her carefully, you can really see the beauty, and once you see it, it becomes obvious. Snowpaw’s features are all delicate and fragile, placed symmetrically on her triangular face. Her ears are probably the only one of her features that isn’t as slight. They’re too big for her head, but match her triangular shaped head. Her eyes are a very vibrant blue, usually clear and cool and regard the world curiously.
Snowpaw is a well built cat. Unlike her features, she’s not really fragile or delicate, but she’s not big and stocky either. She’s average sized, but was blessed with very, very long legs. This makes her slightly taller than the average cat, but not by too much. Sometimes her long legs can get in her way and trip her up. If she truly wanted to be flawless, she would learn to be graceful but that’s a bit of a challenge for her. Her mother always wanted her to be graceful and elegant, seeing as Snowpaw was already blessed with beauty, but so far that simply hasn’t happened.
Personality: I am my own queen. That could be one of Snowpaw’s mottos. She doesn’t need anyone, she never has. Or, at least she thinks. From the day she was old enough to talk she has been determined to do things her way. When a cat with more experience points out something helpful, Snowpaw will turn up her pink little nose and ignore them. With Snowpaw, it’s either her way or the high way. But Queens are more. Snowpaw has always believed in taking care of one’s appearance. She was never the kind of cat – even as a kit – to roll around in the dust and get tangled fur. To her, that is just as disrespectful as being too flashy.
Keep in mind, however, that flashy and beautiful is a very different thing, at least to Snowpaw. She’s like an actress from the 1950s. Those actresses were all so beautiful, elegant, yet also superficial. They are something we all stare at, but never dare to touch. Same goes for Snowpaw. Call her shallow, call her trivial. Some cats are jealous, and some are just turned away by her hard headedness and shallowness, either way, Snowpaw doesn’t have many friends, which is surprising. The only cats she really has are her siblings, and she loves them more than anything in the world. But that’s okay with Snowpaw. I am my own Queen.
History: Dawntail and Flipperwhisker were two happy, young cats, who happened to be in love. They had been close their whole lives, and fell in love a little while after their warrior ceremonies. What should come along, then, but a litter of kits? Dawntail was ecstatic when she heard she was pregnant, as was Flipperwhisker. She went on with her warrior duties for a while, but soon she decided that it was for the best that she retreated into the nursery for the final stages of her pregnancy.
What was next? The birth of three beautiful little kittens! Two she cats, one tom, all healthy and perfect. The three of them looked completely identical, from the soft white fur to the frosty blue eyes. Once their mother sorted them out and found who was who, she came up with their names. Icekit, for her icy fur, Sleetkit, for her sleet coloured fur, and Snowkit, for her snow white fur. It’s safe to say, then, that all the kits were named for their fur, and their mother was careful about choosing different characteristics of the Leaf-Bare moons to name them after.
The kits all grew up happy and safely. Once they were old enough to talk, walk and learn, they discovered how much alike they looked. Cats often got them confused with one another. The only cat who could truly tell them apart was their mother. She, like most mothers, had a sort of sixth sense when it came to her kittens. With other warriors, it was a different story.
“How are you today, Icekit?”
“Actually I’m – er - I mean, good sir. Yourself?” replied Snowkit.
“Sleetkit, don’t stray so far from your mother!”
“Yes, ma’am,” came Snowkit’s soft reply.
See? It was just stuff like that that happened all the time. Sometimes the triplets enjoyed confusing other cats, pretending to be each other. But, sometimes, it also annoyed Snowkit to no end. She just wanted to scream at them, “Get it right!”
Snowkit was, however, even as a kit, ice cool and never let impulses get the better of her. So she kept frustration to herself. The kits grew up and developed different personalities, but stayed as close as ever. After becoming apprentices, their bond remained strong and hopefully will for many moons to come.
Roleplay example: Inner beauty is for fat people.
Other: Her song is Living on the Radio, by Lady Gaga.
I’ve got no friends
I’m my own queen
But I’m living on, living on the the radio
That’s my dream
Stone river eyes
And a lonely heart
If I’m living on the radio
They won’t tear me apart
10 steps and roses on the tree
10 steps and lonely nights
But you’ve still got me
On the road
Road paved in gold
Baby you must believe
Baby you must be free
Keep living on, living on the radio
That’s my dream
