Finally out of camp, and away from all of those mousebrained pieces of foxdung. They were far behind in ShadowClan camp, and it took very little persuading, actually none at all, for Reedpaw to join her. The black apprentice trotted happily through the forest, glad that they had no one to listen to. Why couldn't it be like this all the time? Is this what it felt like to be free? No, wait, she couldn't think like that. Her mother and father had abandoned her for this lifestyle, this freedom. She wouldn't do the same, she was different than they were. Freedom was something she had earned. She needed a little bit of time to be herself, and Reedpaw was just the cat to come with her.
Nightpaw sighed as she looked around. This couldn't be the way to Fourtrees could it? She had asked Reedpaw to take her to the place she had heard so much about, where the cats gathered, but this seemed a bit off. Maybe she shouldn't have been distracted and in her own head the entire time. Either that or this was some weird way of going. "Reedpaw, where are we? This doesn't look like I imagined it." The black apprentice would never admit to being scared, no never. But she was starting to get a little nervous. It was like being a kit all over again and being lost with her bro..no just Dreampaw.

And she could protect herself if worse came to worse. That was a fact. "Well, are we anywhere near?" she asked impatiently.
