With you, I can let my hair down, I can say anything crazy
The she-cat struggled to get up. Why was it that sleeping was such a thing she felt compelled to do all day and all night? She had energy for a short while before feeling drowzy. That was it. She shook her head and examined the den around her. The few nests around her were not occupied until she spotted one familiar pelt. She dropped her shoulders to see Smokepaw resting quietly. She felt terrible for what she had done just a few days back. Laughing at him was not hte answer, even when joking. Didn't she know him any better?
I know you'll catch me right before I hit the ground
The apprentice stood and wobbled slightly. That wobble was enough to ground her again. The small tabby blinked in astonishment before managing to stand again. She knew she had overslept. Smallnose was just beginning to trust her again. How could she dare oversleep today? Then again, today was the day Rivermist agreed to separate her kits. Mousepaw assumed there would be very little training today, if any at all. She stood up and fluffed her pelt joyfully. The light hue made her look almost white in the still-shadowed den. "Wakey wakey, Smokepaw," she whispered under her breath. She stalked over with the silence of a mouse in her.
With nothing but a T-shirt on, I never felt so beautiful
Maybe a game would cheer him up. Between all the apprentices, Mousepaw found him to be the only one that was a very close friend- a friend at all. Tigertail was too busy with his pathetic apprentice, Thymepaw. Thyempaw was too busy losing his chances at a warrior name. Bristlepaw and Ripplepaw were too busy as well. She didn't mind Fawnpaw but she tended to just give a nod of the head to her. Then there was Ivypaw- one cat she really didn't want to interact with. So that left her with Smokepaw. And she didn't mind. Though he might've. She really didn't want to lose him since he was close to her only friend. She desperately wanted to correct their relationship. With a spark of memory, she found herself a mouse-length away from Smokepaw's resting form. She smirked and pounced on her friend's body with all her weight. No doubt he would wake up. Just to assure that- "Wake up, Smokepaw!" she cried out. Oh, yes, what a rude awakening it was.
Baby as I do now, now that I'm with you.
