OOC: Time, not sunset, but late sunhigh.
Twistedclaw padded through the forest ahead of his apprentice and Flintpaw. He didn't have anything to worry about. Whatever had happened to Honeypaw, he was sure that Lizardeye would handle it. What he was feeling, was more boredom than anything. He had not gotten to fight that loner at Carrion Place, nor had he fought the dog, and he didn't even get the chance to claw Icepelt. The day was dull.
As they reached the Chestnut tree, Twistedclaw looked back at Eclipsepaw and gave her a slight nod. He would not watch her hunt. Lizardeye had assessed the three apprentices just a few nights ago. Eclipsepaw was worst, but not quite as bad as Twistedclaw had been at her age. At least she caught a lot, as bloody as they were when she brought it back. He padded out of their sight, but he really didn't feel like hunting. Maybe he could go check on other things...
Lizardeye could see the rest of the group ahead of them. He watched his brother carefully, and knew that he wasn't going off to hunt. The cold-eyed tabby kept his eyes fixed on his brother's back.
"Stay close to Eclipsepaw and Flintpaw," he mewed to Emberpaw, and quickly veered to follow his brother, not greeting the other apprentices.
Eclipsepaw nodded back to her mentor, grateful that he'd given her some privacy. She opened her mouth and scented for prey, which there was plenty of since the sun was going down. There would be even more at night, and Eclipsepaw wondered if her mentor would stay out that long. She was startled by pawsteps behind her. Emberpaw had arrived with her mentor. Lizardeye paid no notice to she or Flintpaw, and Eclipsepaw watched him go.
"Where do you think they're going?" she asked aloud.
