((Just poofing him back to camp. I think the other thread was over anyway.))
Stalking into Willowstar's den, Brackenpelt was determined to let his leader know what had happened at the WindClan border. Not that he had to tell her every little thing, but the more she trusted him, the more likely she would listen to him. That's what he hoped. Head lowered in a badger-like manner, he walked into the den and saw Willowstar laying in her nest of flattened reeds.
"What is it, Brackenpelt?" He knew she would have been irritated that he hadn't asked before coming in but he hadn't thought about it.
"There were a couple of WindClan cats on our side of the border." he growled.
"Warriors?"
"No, apprentices."
"Were they stealing prey?"
"They were drinking from the river." Brackenpelt narrowed his eyes. "It doesn't matter what they were doing. They knew they were on our territory."
Willowstar sighed. "I don't want to cause conflict with WindClan."
"But they were-"
"Tell the patrols to watch that border especially. That's all I'm going to do." Willowstar's voice lowered in warning and she straightened up in her nest.
Brackenpelt's growl rumbled in his throat and his shoulders tensed. This was not going as he planned. But Willowstar looked serious and he wondered how much she was agitated. Flexing his claws in and out, he glared at the ground of the den.
"Is there anything else you wanted to say?" Asked the leader.
"You know how weak ThunderClan is getting..." he began, unable to stop himself before he spurted it out. "And there haven't been any claims for Sunningrocks for moons. ThunderClan is so small they don't need Sunningrocks. We should take the advantage while it's there and get them back. It will be an easy battle." He growled.
Willowstar snorted. "We're doing well, there is plenty of prey and there hasn't been tension between the Clans for a long time. You want to ruin that with your poorly-thought mousebrained plan?"
"But-"
"I know that we haven't been pressing for Sunningrocks as much as we should." She admitted. "But we're fine the way things are now. Don't you think it would be more wise to attack in leaf bare- when prey is scarce and ThunderClan will be weaker?"
He couldn't argue with that. Brackenpelt grunted as an agreement with an added, "Fine." Turning around, he pushed his way out of the den without another word.
Willowstar sunk back into her nest, her mind once again whirling.
