Drifting in unconsciousness, the tom wasn't sure if he was dreaming or not. Sometimes you could tell and other times you could not. Darkness surrounded him, he couldn't smell anything, and it was silent. Though no thoughts were running through his mind, slowly, he became aware of noises distantly. They started quiet, murmured whispers as if they were trying not to let him hear, and gradually became louder, calling for his attention. They were the voices of many he didn't recognize, merging together. They suddenly started joining together and he could make out they were saying the same thing.
"Prophecy... something coming...something to tell you. Listen. The Great Split is coming... New lives will emerge... Life from death."
As they suddenly got louder, the sound grew more urgent. He tried to force back the noise so he could sleep but it was ineffective. But, as soon as he willed the voices to leave him alone, they started to fade on their own. Eventually it was quiet again and he started to wake up.
Pushing away groggy sleepiness and realizing it was another new day, Earthfoot opened his amber eyes reluctantly. After yesterday's exausting him fully, he didn't feel like he got a full rest. Yawning and sitting up in his nest, he hoped to wake up more and feel refreshed once he got moving. He glanced across the small den at the nest on the other side- it had been Sagepaw's first night in his new den. Today, he remembered he had to show Sagepaw the territory. Then after that his training could begin.
((I hear voices! I'm not crazy! O_e xD Fail post.))
