Gingertail slipped halfway down the slope to Fourtrees on her way in, tumbling over Darkfoot and sending them both crashing into Specklestar and a group of a couple other cats. Darkfoot looked shocked, but had enough control of himself to glare at Gingetail and mutter an apology.
Gingertail just laughed. "I'm sorry Specklestar! But its time for the holidays, and I'm just so excited!"
~~~
Icepelt smiled. "Of course I'll help!" he promised the tom. "Every cat wants to enter the decorating contest! Myself included!" He grabbed a strand of lights and began tugging them over.
~~~
Sootpelt walked through the crowd of Clan cats. For some reason, the usual prickly tom was not around when the holidays were here. Instead, a much nicer, happier tom took its place.
"Up in the treetops, the birds all pause.
Out comes wonderful Sandyclaws!
On out to Fourtrees with lots of toys!
All for the little kits, Christmas joys!
Oh no, no, don't eat the yellow
Oh no, no, the very yellow snow!
Up in the treetops, tweet tweet tweet!
Down comes Sandyclaws for us to meet!"
~~~
Smallnose was having trouble getting the lights to stay on the GReat Rock. "Hey, Mousepaw! Hand me another stick convered in mud, will you?" she asked her apprentice, holding the colorful flashing lights up with three of her paws, her tail, and her head.
~~~
DApplepaw joined in on the song then.
"Then all the loners loved him!
As they shouted out in glee!
Rudolph the red-nosed loner
How your nose glows is a mystery!"
~~~
Scorchclaw grunted and dropped the two mice he was carrying. There, his contribution for the evening. He turned and went over to the base of one of the four trees, hoping he didn't get stuck with light-hanging duty, too.
~~~
Snowfoot plodded into the clearing, head down. She didn't like being around so many cats. But she'd done her job and caught a few fish for the feast. She went over to the pile and placed them neatly on top, then went in search of another cat. Whoever, really.
~~~
"What a wonderful night for a celebration!" Ripplefur exclaimed as she went in search of her other-Clan friends. SHe quickly located Mudpelt, and soon after Volepelt arrived.
"How have your Clans been?" she asked, and settled in to listen to the newest WindClan and ThunderClan gossip.
~~~
Crowstripe smiled as he reached Fourtrees. In his mouth he drug a long ribbon, ten tims as long as him. It kept getting caught on branches, so he kept having to go back and fix it. Thus, this made him a little late. But he finally made it down the slope and spat it onto the ground.
"Who needs ribbon?" he yowled.
