Being a tiny kit still, there isn’t very much to Eve that shouts what her strengths would be. She’s short-legged still, pudgy in all the right, and cute, places that a kit should be. She’s very small, even for a kit her age. She’ll never grow to be very large at all, tiny being the best way to put her. Eve has clumsy little paws and a lack of survival skills that are clearly shown in her fur and body. But at least she has the cuteness down. With her small yet warm dark orange eyes, she can pull heartstrings with just a look. Her small, round face carries a pretty pink nose and two short ears. Eve carries the most interesting coloring, a patchy tortoiseshell of ginger-tabby and black, white markings here and there. Along the left of her nose is a dominant black “ash” marking on her ginger tabby fur, along with a patch of black across her right ear. Other than that, the markings all flow together an meld into a pretty Halloween mix. Her chin is slightly white, also all along her chest and belly. The best part, however, are the four tiny white paws she has, each one going white from the toes to ankle before stopping there, small socks for her. Eve is adorable, it’s just too bad she has to live a loner’s life so early.
Personality:
Naïve & Nosy;; There’s nothing this girl doesn’t want to stick her nose into. She’s not dumb, but she doesn’t use common sense that much. If there’s a rabbit’s hole, she would curiously stick her nose in before thinking if something else might reside in it. She loves to learn new things, a lot actually. It’ll take a patient cat to keep up with her relentless questions and random curiosities. Her interests will sometimes blind her and take her off the path she should be following. But her eagerness to learn is admirable and perhaps refreshing.
Craven & Emotional;; This little girl wasn’t meant to leave her mother yet, it was too early. So her need to have other cats is still there in this kit. She is easily scared whether it’s a nightmare, a bat, a snake, a bird, a mouse- she jumps easily. Not that she wants to jump. She’ll always be brave enough to take another step towards them anyways. She just tends to not do well initially. Ever. A ton of things scare her and she probably wouldn’t make much of a good fighter. She could use a lot of help to build up such a courage. But how can she when she’s so quick with emotions? Everything with her is bright and loud and an experience on its own. Happiness, sorrow, anger, it’s all to an extreme. She hasn’t learned control yet which can make tears or joy near uncontrolled with her. Good to know she doesn’t suppress anything.
Affectionate & Compassionate;; But what really matters is this big heart, full of love and care. Even if she is extreme in emotions, lacking in common sense, cowardly, and an overall pest, she cares a lot about cats and takes on a huge heart for one so small. It’ll be hard to resist wanting to help and be naïvely friendly. To her, the world is full of cats out there to be friends with, not enemies. She’s too gentle when compared to warriors and their apprentices, but doesn’t that make her better? Eve loves bigger than what most cats should. And that’s one thing she’s not afraid because all hearts are meant to love and be hurt. Even at her age, she’s wise with that.
History:
When her kittypet mother gave birth to a litter of kits, it wasn’t a concern. Least not to Ginger. Her loner mate, Blacky, arrived that night and looked them over proudly. She introduced each kit to him, loving and sweet. Of course, the names could’ve been more interesting. Of her tom kits, there was Russet, Grey, and Red. Of her she-kits, Yellow, Tawny, and Pumpkin. He was overjoyed at the fine litter of six and spent the entire night going on about their lives as parents. Except it wouldn’t happen. Little Red was not well and he was taken by her twolegs one day.
Ginger cried for the longest time until her twolegs returned. But Red was not with them. She lost trust in her twoleg owners that day and slowly grew paranoid about what would happen to her other kits. So when Blacky came to visit one night, she gave him a kit, Pumpkin. “Quickly,” she said. “Take Pumpkin, wait for me by the river. I won’t let my twolegs take another one of my kits. Hurry!” You see, the other kits had started to be taken away one by one, finding “homes” but never to be seen again by their mother. Ginger did not want to lose them all and she trusted Blacky with her last female kit, to escape before she could take her last kit and follow.
Blacky did as told and took Pumpkin to the rivers she spoke about, careful to avoid the warriors he knew resided in the area. Ginger would be following soon, wouldn’t she? The dark tom scoffed as he looked at the cute bumbling kit. “Pumpkin. What a silly name. I’m going to call you Eve, okay baby?” The kit’s eyes lit up and she grinned at her father. There was something about her father that she instantly loved and she wasn’t going to let it go.
They waited. And waited. And waited. Ginger never showed up with Grey. Soon almost a whole moon passed and Blacky knew he’d have to move onward with Eve. He loved his mate, but he cared too much about Eve to let her stay here any longer. Still, one last check on Ginger wouldn’t kill him. He made Eve wait in the brush and ran off for the twolegplace. What should’ve been only a few hours turned into never again. Eve poked her head out and realized her father had not come back. And she certainly wasn’t going to stay there. So the naïve little kit climbed out and set off to find somebody, anybody. She was hungry and cold. And that’s where we begin.
