[atrb=background,http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr67/Goldenwolf35953/Mousepaw2.jpg]Ugh. The smell of prey was so nice. A small spark of jealousy raked at her as she watched some of it get taken to the elders and queens. Yes, an apprentice usually fed last in all of those that resided in the Clan. Elders, queens, kits. Leader and deputy and medicine cats. Warriors. Then apprentices. At the very bottom. A lick of spite trespassed her mind as she lowered her tabby head slightly. ‘That could be me if I told them. I could be getting first dibs on that food.’ She must’ve looked ridiculously tired or something. The tabby paused at the entrance and dropped the moss, turning back and walking into the camp once more. Compared to the others, she seemed weighty and as well-fed as a fat ol’ kittypet. Perhaps rumors were going around of her feeding on kittypet food. Better that than the truth. The truth could kill. She waddled towards the apprentices’ den and looked back only to assure she hadn’t been spotted. Then she carefully slipped in and pawed around through her nest. Nobody saw. Nobody had found it. The scrawniest little mouse from the prey pile. She knew it was wrong to steal, but she couldn’t let them starve either. She was feeding more than one and she was already hungry enough as it was from that. Before anybody could find her, she hastily ate what there was on the tiny little thing, a mere pathetic couple of bites before there was little worth scrapping off the bones. Mousepaw knew she would be looked poorly upon by StarClan and the others for what she had done. The apprentice worked to bury the body again, not wanting her snacking to be found out. She frowned when her good work was showed before her. Nobody would notice it was there. Nobody but her, that is. Ravenstar would have her severely punished for stealing and Smallnose would be right after. She couldn’t think about that now, not when small pressures were enforcing their reminder on her of why she did this. ‘I’m sorry, little ones. I know, I know, I’ll keep it to myself, quit thinking about it.’ |
Oh, right. Smallnose had told her they were going to train today. Well, perhaps hunting training would be nice. They hadn’t been doing much training lately so maybe they could finally get something done. Of course she still worried about the heavy physical activity. As much as she didn’t want to worry and watch out, she wasn’t stupid or cruel enough to risk the lives. The little tabby shook herself out before deciding she’d go and meet Smallnose by Outlook Rock now. It would give her good time to run and relax.
The moment she left the camp, a brush of air relieved her senses and caused the slight smile to twinkle. She felt like she hadn’t smiled in so long! Well, at least now she had a chance. The older apprentice followed the well-learned path that lead to the place where Smallnose would undoubtedly be waiting for her. Hunting would be nice. Or just an outlook practice. Something simple, nothing hefty. Then again, Smallnose might make her try something rougher since they hadn’t in a while. Maybe StarClan was on her side today of all days.
Mousepaw glanced around, wondering where her mentor could be. Smallnose wasn’t here So… where was she? The she-cat sniffed the air but predicted that if she was going to scent her mentor, she’d perhaps be in front of her, the way the winds were whipping today. Maybe not. It was midday, so nice the way the sun lit up the golden fields. Calmly climbing on top of the rock, Mousepaw sat and gazed over the WindClan territory, the way it sprawled before her like some sort of mock savannah. It was so beautiful. Too bad she perhaps wouldn’t see this again for near three, four moons in the short while. Not unless she ran away to have the kits outside of WindClan. But that wasn’t safe. She’d need a medicine cat because she was so young and inexperienced. The tabby lowered her gray gaze to the ground, mourning for what she had done, forgetting completely about the lesson that was soon to come.

Notes;; She knows she has to go train, but now she has to avoid fighting training at all cost for the sake of the kits Smallnose doesn’t know she’s carrying. Will she be able to avoid telling Smallnose or will it all come clean?
Notes2;; I’m thinking it’d be a good idea for some fighting practice, Mousepaw to throw Smallnose it kinda sets worry and causes her to reveal the kits. We can still rearrange it if you like.[/blockquote]
