A Gray Puddle with a Shell in it

Graypaw was a bit sad, but he felt a more sudden pang of disappointment at hearing that they were done training for the day. It hadn't seemed like long at all, and they'd only gone over a few moves. The light rain was starting to feel heavy and chilling on his pelt, but he didn't feel ready to go back yet. Swallowing a bit of discouragement at not being able to train longer, he nodded obediently and started to make his way back to the RiverClan side of the bank.

"When's the next time we can train, then?" He asked, turning his gaze to both Puddlepelt and Shellclaw. It was clear he could not tell which of the cats was his true mentor.

Puddlepelt appeared to be too far ahead to hear the young apprentice's question, so Shellclaw sped up to trot alongside the young tom. Poor lad seemed a bit disappointed to have to end the session so soon.

Don't worry, Graypaw. We shall be training together again very soon." he grinned.

Puddlepelt listened to her brother with a slight smile of amusement. It seemed that Shellclaw genuinely cared about the apprentice.
