Nightpaw was glad to have other friends beside her broth..no Dreampaw. It really was weird not thinking of him as her brother. Would she ever become used to it? Probably not, but she would have to. Shaking the thought from her head she grinned at Reedpaw's comment. He was agreeing. He was so much more fun without that nagging selfish little piece of foxdung known as Dapplepaw hanging around. She should just disappear. And he was right, everyone seemed preoccupied which would be a perfect getaway from them. She knew he was right about Thornpaw coming, but he had been her best friend for so long, she had to invite him. "Pushing boundaries is our specialty." she added to his statement. She hadn't heard his comment about the kits, her fury was too much when she leaped on Thornpaw.
And just when she was about to tear Thornpaw's paw to shreds she was pushed off. Her eyes glared at who dared to interrupt her tearing apart session. Controlling herself, and attempting to calm her anger she sighed when she saw it was Reedpaw. But he was right, if they wanted to leave they would have to go now. "I could care less on his opinion." she muttered. Nodding to Reedpaw she flicked her tail at Thornpaw before looking around to make sure they weren't being watched then headed out of camp. Finally! Something to do that wouldn't make her fall asleep.
Thornpaw was irritated by Reedpaw's comment. What was wrong with following the rules? If they followed the rules, maybe they wouldn't be in trouble so much. Nah, those two were impossible. They would find some way to create trouble. "Well it's obvious you don't need my approval anyway, so just go ahead and go. When you get in trouble, don't blame me." he huffed. He was a bit hurt by Nightpaw's words, she usually asked his opinion, and what was with the sharp tongue with him? Usually the black and white tom was exempt from that behavior, was she changing? Yeah, as if Nightpaw could change. He sighed sitting down and looked around, now where was his temporary mentor? He wished he could go training.
Padding into camp with a mouth of prey, she deposited the lizards and mouse she had caught into the fresh-kill pile, only to hear the leader summoning the Clan. Now what could this be about? Padding closer she gazed at Specklestar. This was about the kits? Shrewfang couldn't believe they had only received two of them, no good WindClan, cheating them of two rightful kits. But Specklestar was right, there wasn't any need to battle. She was making a wise choice. They could take all the clans on easily and take over the entire forest, but that would be a bit upsetting. And Specklestar need not worry about her welcoming the kits. Just because they had different blood didn't mean they should be treated differently, she should know. Talking to kits wasn't something she was great at, but she would welcome them, maybe, if she felt like it later. Right now she wanted to just curl up and take a nap. First she would see if she was needed to do anything else, then nap later if she could. But a yawn somehow escaped from her mouth without her being able to control it. Looking around camp she wondered who she could chew out and make feel like they should just curl into a deep pit of despair.
